I read an artical about the exotic pet-gift ideas people come up with this morning in my local newspaper. Can't give you the link as it is not on their website, but thought you might enjoy this.
"Forty-six percent of pet owners will spend more on presents for their animals this year than they will on other relatives..". They gave some of the more exotic ideas they came across. They included: Fantasy Pet Dress-up (www.petfoodexpress.com), Holiday Elf Suit for Ferrets (www.marshallpet.com) and a Hid'n Litter box that can be under the tree and looks like a present. Give me a break!
I just thought this was hilarious! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

Now THAT is disgusting!! Especially if Grandma goes to try to open the "gift" eeugh!

Before I had human children I spent a lot on the dogs for Christmas..now that there are human kids and fur kids, the fur-kids get not so much. But I make sure they get a couple things to open ( Barahona likes to open gifts, but wont touch them until you tell her its OK). I usually buy something for even the fish:-) ( the fish do not unwrap them BTW :-) )

Honestly, I didn't buy a lot for my pets this year. Heres my list:

Budgie- Nothing 'cuz I just got him so the cage is pretty much his gift
Hamster- Package of hamster fluff
Fish- Sorry nothing!
Guinea Pig 1- Treats
Guinea Pig 2- Treats
Dog- Treats
Turtle- Nothing to buy him! He duzn't eat right now (he's in his "non-eating stage") and he still has lots of shrimp treat left!

As you can see, I wasn't very generous, but I love them lots, and they said they don't mind http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/wink.gif!
