Aug. 20 - Moved to our new home in Ohio
It is so beautiful here. I love it here!

Oct. 14 -Ohio is the most beautiful place on earth. The leaves are
turning all different colors - you should see the beautiful shades of red
and orange and yellow! Went for a ride through some beautiful rolling
hills and spotted some deer. They are so graceful, certainly they are the
most peaceful animals on earth. This must be Paradise I love it here!

Nov. 3 - Deer season will start soon. I can't imagine
anyone wanting to kill such an elegant creature, the
very symbol of peace and tranquility. Hope it will
snow soon. I love it here!

Dec. 2 - It snowed last night! Woke up to find everything blanketed in
white, just like a postcard. We went outside and cleaned the snow off the
steps and shoveled the driveway. We had a snowball fight
(I won) and when the snowplow came by, we had to shovel the driveway
again. What a beautiful place. Mother nature in perfect harmony. I love
Ohio!

Dec. 12 - More snow last night. I love it. The snowplow did his trick
again (that rascal) and pushed all the snow back into the driveway,
but we bundled up and had a good time clearing it - and we made
a snowman out of it! A winter wonderland I love it here!

Dec. 19 - More snow last night. Couldn't get out of
the driveway to get to work on time! I'm exhausted
from shoveling. That damn snowplow!

Dec. 22 - More of that white crap fell last night.
I've got blisters on my hands from shoveling. I think
the snowplow man hides around the corner and waits
until I'm done shoveling this driveway, the jerk!
And you should see our heating bills!

Dec. 25 - "White Christmas" my busted ass! More friggin snow.
If I ever get my hands on that son of a bitch who drives that snowplow,
I swear I'll break the bastard's nose. Don't know why they don't use
more salt on the roads to melt this friggin ICE!

Dec. 28 - More white sh*t last night. Been inside since
Christmas Day except for shoveling out the driveway
every time "Snowplow Harry" comes by. Can't go
anywhere, car's buried in a mountain of frozen snow.
The weatherman says to expect another 10" of the
sh*t tonight. Do you know how many shovels full
of snow 10" is?

Jan. 1 - Happy Damn New Year, the weatherman was wrong AGAIN.
We got two feet of the white sh*t this time. At this rate it won't melt
before the Fourth of July. The snowplow got stuck up the road, and the
jerk had the balls to come to the door and ask to borrow my shovel.
After I told him I've broken six shovels already, shoveling all the sh*t
he pushed into the driveway, I broke my last one over his damn head!

Jan. 8 - Finally got out of the house today. Went to the
store to get food and on the way back, a damn deer ran
in front of the car and I hit the bastard. Did about
$3,000 worth of damage to the car. Those damn beasts
ought to be killed. Wish the hunters had killed them all
last November.

Mar. 22 - Took the car to the garage in town.
Would you believe the thing is rotting out from all
that damn salt they keep dumping all over the road?
Car looks like a piece of sh*t!

April. 10 - Moved back to Florida. I can't imagine why
anyone in their right mind would ever want to live
in that God forsaken state of Ohio!

LMAO!!! :D :D :D Been there, done that! And you know if you don't shovel that snow at the end of your driveway immediately, before it hardens you may never get out of your driveway before spring! The snow plow drivers have been cussed many times by me!

LOL...so funny!!!

I have to admit that I love the snow! It helps that I don't have to shovel it...lol. I have a 21 year old that is still at home to do that for me ;)

We have not had a good snowfall yet. Just a bad icestorm and we still have people without power  I feel so bad for them. I would much rather have the snow. The ice cause so much damage.

Robin :)

Yes ice is the worst, it causes a lot of problems for a lot of people. Do people realize we walk like ducks 3 or 4 months out of the year walking on ice and praying we don't fall?

:D That's perfect! I've met many people from Arizona up here in Washington and they always sound like that. "The rain was beautiful when we first moved here but, it's been six months! C'mon now!"

I have seen that alot but its for Montana in fact its posted at our post office. and instead of Florida its California. So true just as I get the front drive way cleared and head to the back one the Da** snow plow goes by . get to the front again as he does the back. I guess I souldn't complain I live on the block with the mayor and super od schools guess who is the last street done. we are one before the city shop. they pass us every time going to do other roads.

:D

Back in the 70's, when it *REALLY SNOWED* around here,
the FD BrushFire Truck wore a SNOWplow in the winter and
was used to keep the Station and Volunteers' driveways plowed out.
RB :( Shadow and had I decided to "camp out" in the Station for one
of the Blizard nights.
I fired up "Snow 33" about 9 PM to clear better than 6  feet
of snow piling up between the Station and the State Highway...

It was SLOW goin - an hour's plowing had only opend a tiny slot
across the drive in front of the Station's 3 doors out by the Highway.

I vaguely remember the State's BIG "SnowPlow Harry" blow by
headed west - throwing a MOUNTAIN of snow - the Memorial across
the street went "dark" ... burried under a ton of snow...

Figgered I had 20 minutes to get outta harm's way before "Harry" got
to the County line, turned around, and returned to plow the eastbound
lane on MY side of the road...

I couldn't see the back bumper in the mirror for all the blowin snow;
so I "cracked" the window to "lissin" for "Harry's" return...

(Yeah, right! SNOW mutes even a big roaring diesel snowplow!)

**WHUMMP!!**
The pickup cab filled with snow - it got REEL *dark* -
an poor lil "33" quit movin... Uhhh-Ohhhh...
I cleaned my glasses and tried to get out...
Driver's door wouldn't *budge*;
passenger door wouldn't either... rolled down the passenger window
and snow ROLLED IN!

Minutes ticked by as I tried to think of what to try next...

I heard a muffled voice outside...
HEY! Are you OK!??

The side window began to clear... I could see a big scoop shovel
working frantically to clear away a HUGE mound of snow...
Finally the door was opened - by Ohio's version of "SnowPlow Harry" :D

He'd seen my truck's *blinkin lights* just as they disappeared under
the wall of snow his blade was throwing and turned around to come
back - fearing the worst.
He was very relieved to learn he hadn't "hit" me!
"That's our worst fear on nights like this - that'l we'll
*hit* someone that we can't see for all the snow flying off the plow!
Heck - I can't see the Bulldog's A$$ on the hood of the truck!!" :p

I offered "Harry" some coffee and warmth in the Station;
but he thought we'd better "dig out" the Fire Truck first!
"Stand aside! I'll have it out in a minute or two!"

Like a surgeon with a knife, "Harry" sliced & diced the mountain
of snow he'd dumped around and on the poor lil pickup;
then told me to put it back in the Station to "defrost" and that
He & the Bulldog would clean up around the Fire Station.

"SnowPlow Harry" drops in on snowy nights when he sees
lights on in the Station... We hear the "rumble" as the Bulldog's
big blade make two passes around the Station followed by
a Knock on the door.
"Coffee on?? I had to stop to clean my windows and mirrors."

Coffee finished; he leaves with a reminder that
"If anybody asks what I was doin - "cleanin my windows" - and
I musta "furgot" to pick up the plow and shut off the salt spreader!" :D

**THANKS** to ALL the "SnowPlow Harrys" out there this winter!!

;)
