I was looking at the post count on the main page and see that PT has passed 900,000 posts!!


I was thinking about when the site would pass 1,000,000

And thought it might be fun to try and guess when the millionth post would be posted....


It's no contest......It's just to see who can come closet to the date..

Any post after Jan 31 2005 doesn't count;)

Given the fact that PT started in June of 2004, and it has taken 4 1/2 years to get to 900,000 posts that is about 200,000/year, or 100,000 in about 6 months...BUT I know there are a lot more members now then 4 1/2 years ago, so I will take that number in half.

That means about 3 months...which means somtime in March.

I'll go with Spot's Gotcha Day...March 17

Dick Clark is "the world's oldest teenager"..He hosted a music show years ago and up until last year would spend New Year's Eve hosting the countdown to the "ball drop" (that crystal ball in New York's Times Square that goes down the pole at midnight).

He also would do a Top 40 music countdown show too!!

As a man who spend his life counting down we thought he was a good choice to help us out.

Thanks ACM! I had hoped I would be back to see this happen even though I picked a date that I would be gone. I wanted to be in on the thrill and excitement of it when it actually happened.

I picked March 18th simply because it was my first husbands birthday even though he died over 30 years ago.. I always remember him on his birthday and that is the ONLY reason that I picked that date..
