I had heard about this story last year when it happened, yesterday and today there were updates on the news and in several newspapers. It just warms my heart to know how kind and generous people can be.

What a wonderful family and wonderful people that helped. I'm glad that story has a happy ending.

I graduated college in May 2003 and my parents were planning a big graduation party for me. Angie, my Shih Tzu, got sick in June 2003 and I cancelled the party and used the money to try to get her well. She ended up having a blood disease and passed away three days later. The bills were a lot, but nowhere near $7,000. I didn't mind giving up my party even though Angie died. I was upset that she was gone, but I couldn't have lived with myself if I didn't do everything I possibly could for her. There was enough money left for me to get Sylvia though.
