It doesn't really snow here ... if it does, it is just one time a year and it barely sticks to the ground. Every few years we get lucky and get some that sticks to the ground for a few hours.

It snows here. I like it for about a day and then I'm ready for it to go away. It's terrible to drive in and I can't wear nice shoes because they will be ruined. But I won't lie. On the first really big snow of the year you will see me out there playing in it. I plan on going sledding with my boyfriend when we get some again. We will be the only 23 and 24 year olds out there with all the kids :D

It does, and most of the time I love it. But when it gets further into winter, I am normally sick of it.:p

lol sure does, everyone gets concerned if is does NOT snow 10 feet in a week lol ok so maybe that is exaderating a little, but not much :p and no I dont particularly like it lol because when it gets really cold, like -50*C there is no way I am taking my dogs out for exersize lol I would freeze as soon as I set foot outside the door, and then I have 2 BCs on my hands with "coopedupinthehouse syndrom" because the wheather will get like that for weeks at a time. I may have grown up with this wheather, but I connot tolerate wheather that cold for more then a few seconds.

As much as I love the snow, I'm glad it doesn't snow here. I don't like the cold... I'm happy just going somewhere else to ski/snowboard for a day or two. :p

No snow here. I would hate to live in the snow. I can drive to the snow and hour and a half away, so I don't ever miss it much.

Yea, I kinda feel the same way...when we lived in So Cal, I wouldn't mind going into the mountains to ski and play and all, but when it snows all the time and is REALLY cold here, I really despise it!;)

Nope :(, we get maybe one or two flurrys every few years and thats it. It snowed about half an inch about 10 years ago and it stuck to the ground but nothing since then.

I want snow. Oh and it was VERY hot here today (Well yesterday) ;).

Yup! I love snow! :) Not enough snow some years, but others are better. I, alone, in my family, love snow. Paul and Miss Hoppy keep threatening to move to Arizona.

No snow here :( But the mountains are really near by so when it gets really cold you can see the snow capped mountains. It's only about a 45 minute drive to the mountain if you want to go play in the snow. I went last year and had so much fun. I'm planning on going again this year to go play and have fun in the snow.

Add me to the list of people threatening you to move to Arizona! And you'll like Tucson better since the snow is so close. There is no snow at all near Phx. So oh well, when can I expect you here in Tucson?

Fort Drum brings new meaning to the word snow. Anything under 3" gets reported as "Possible flurries". The first winter I was up here there were icicles on the buildings so big they were removing them with chainsaws.

Desert Arabian

Ladys Human- sounds familiar! We had 5 1/2 foot icicles on our roof. I knocked one down and it was taller than me, and I am 5 feet tall. It was probably about 4 inches thick too and 10 inches around. We had 52 inches of snow on the ground and it didn't completely melt until after Easter in April. It was NUTS! We a snow pile so large in front of our cottage (from plowing the driveway), I would climb to the top then step onto the roof! Praying that will happen again some day soon!

When spring came, the lake at our cottage started to melt, and there were ICEBERGS in the river. Looked like we were in Antartica. It was INSANE! It was really cool to see. I have pictures, I will post them some time soon.

Miranda_Rae
12-19-2004, 04:10 AM
Yes, it snows but the weather has been really weird where its been really warm and melting it. Then it gets really cold and then we don't have any snow. I would like it more if it was really cold AND it snowed, cause then you would have something to think the cold was for - to keep the snow from melting! :p

The forecast for tonight says we're supposed to get our first snow of the year! I'm so excited! It "looks" like snow out there too. The kids of course are hoping that tomorrow will be a snow day, but not hubby... he is supposed to get off Thursday to start the holidays, but if it snows and they close schools - he'll have to go in on Thursday!

We have about 2" on the ground right now, in Pittsburgh! I drove 3 mph home from church! I had to go down one steep road and up another. I'm staying home and be on PT!

It's unusual if we don't get snow at least 3-4 times every winter... hasn't snowed yet this year though.

We're mostly no snow. It varies though. We can go several years without hardly any snow then we'll have a year with one or two feet of snow.

Last year we had a week with some great snow. So of course we had to gather the cats and toss them in the snow to get their opinions. Joxer absolutely loved it, Sid was neutral, and Jan absolutely hated it.

The last snow that fell in lost angeles feel right after the day I was born.......

God was trying to kill my parents for having me.

Anyway, should there be ANY snow here in the Los Angeles basin life as we know it would end within 5 minutes...

Accidents would close the freeways and we would all panic for not being able to drive.

I would like to say a definite NO as it is supposed to be summer here in NZ, but do you know we had Snow on the Desert Road, which is only around 4 hours away from where I live, infact in the South Island they thought it might even be a white Christmas, can you believe that? maybe it was wishful thinking, I think it will make a big turn a round and people will be off to the beach as per usual for their xmas break.:D
