German Shepherds

Our family has a 1yr 5 month old German Shepherd. I would like to take her on walks more often, but she's always pulling at the end of the leash. What can I do to train her to stop?

Has she been to any basic obedience classes? We have the same problem with our dogs. When I walk with our aussie mix, I can control her pulling on the leash by having her heel. Eventually, if you continuously work w/ them they will learn to stop.

Maggie(our German Shepherd)hasn't been to obedience classes, but I have been trying to teach her to "heel" for along time, and she just doesn't respond or care either one! I'll try to use some of the tips you guys gave me--mabey they'll work with her!
