My friends Annie and Jeff have just lost their cat Nick at the age of 13 (I think), after a long struggle with cancer. Nick was a lovely nose-to-tail-tip black fellow, much missed by his purrents and his little "nephews" Zeke and Gus.

How sad. Please convey my sympathy to your friends. Are they familiar with the "Rainbow Bridge" poem? Perhaps it would comfort them...
