The Night Before Xmas.....

I thought that this might be fun....

Everyone knows the poem, "The Night Before Xmas"..

So I thought it would be fun to rewrite it for the PT site....

No rules, Just write two stanzas and we'll see where it goes!

Twas the Night before Xmas,
And on the PT site.
Members were posting,
Their kids by their side.

The were eagerly awaiting
The first signs of Claus-
At the first sound of reindeer,
They'd be up on their paws!

The stockings were hung by the chimneys with care,
My cats were hoping catnip would soon be put in there!

My cats were all nestled snug in my bed,
Visions of tuna and catnip danced in their heads.:D

I couldn't believe what my ears were hearing
Looking out of the window and into the clearing
For there was my hero, all dressed in red
And the eight tiny reindeer ahead of the sled.

I opened the door and snuck down the stairs
Watching ever so carefully at the deer in pairs
And as I got closer I gleamed with delight
For there was Richard prepared for his flight.

I looked in the sleigh and what did I see?
Two little elves named Laurie and Zippy.
I asked them, "how come you're invited along?"
They said all they did was sing a song.

They quickly loaded the gifts into the sack
And together we hauled it on to the back.
I asked "Where is Santa" and looked all around
Richard said he was stuck in the Lost and Found.

"OH NO!" I exclaimed as I ran in the house
"You've no idea what's in there, including the mouse!
There's clothes, and shoes, and icky things too
Richard and Zippy, whatever shall we do?"
