Zena is a trained Search and Rescue dog for the Genoa Township Police Department . She was called on during the World Trade Center attacks on 9-11 and went to help search for the victims there. Zena has developed nerve damage in her back and hind legs, and veterinarians think she might have a tumor on or near her spine. Now she needs an MRI to figure out exactly what's wrong with Zena and what it will take to treat her. You can read her story here: News Story The Township where Zena works does not have the money for the MRI, or the treatment she may need. They are accepting donations tohelp this incredible dog. She is an OHIO Search and Rescue dog, and Ohio Pound Puppy rescue wants to try to help this most deserving dog. Please, if you can spare even a dollar, Zena, her handler, the department, adn most of all, the people Zena has helped in her career would be incredibly greatful.
