Mine is Coolpix 5400... and I love love love the camera. There are so many functions on it that I haven't even tapped into its abilities! Word of caution though, I had the 4300... big waste of money there. It broke several times for the same probelm and they upgraded me for free witrh the 5400 and I can't believe the difference in quality and ease of use!

I'm buying a Canon powershot A95, but right now I have a JamCam 3.0. Stay away from JamCams lol. They are good for beginners and easy to use, but very frustrating when it comes to the quality of the pictures.

My advice is buy at Costco if you have access to one and NOT EBay. Try going to a camera store to gain knowledge about the different spec's of cameras that are available. If Costco is not an option for you I suggest a local camera store. Then you can return for ?' as often as you like. If you want to research cameras on line, www.dpreview.com (http://www.dpreview.com) is an excellent place to read and learn about most any camera there is today, including older models. There are several forums for just that purpose.

Having said all this, we have the Canon s400 (point and shoot) and the Canon 20d (DSLR).

We have a "Finepix A303" , 3,2 megapixels.
It is a great camera. It is a bit slow, so it is difficult to take "action-pictures" like yawning, because it takes ages before we get the "green light" . But, the pics are excellent, and that's what counts, hey :)

As Laura said, I have the Canon Powershot A90.

I've also owned the Powershot A60, FujiFilm Finepix 1300 and have used many by Sony, Fuji, and Kodak. None compare to the Canons i've used and i'll never purchase a different one as long as Canon is still in business. :p

Thank you so much everyone!!! :) :)

I am actually leaning towards the Canon Powershot A85 or A95. I'm gonna go to Best Buy and play with them before actually purchasing. I've always bought Canon for 35mm cameras and never had problems with them.

I have a Sony Cybershot with 4.0 megapixels and 3x optical zoom. I LOVE this camera. We have had it for about 3 years now, and it has no problems whatsoever. It takes beautiful, high-quality pictures, and it even takes videos with sound. GREAT camera! :D

Just to let you know, they've discontinued the A80. :)

Pretty much everything goes on sale on Boxing Day. :D I'm going to get up really early in the morning and run over to Future shop before there is too much rush!
