Sally is getting spayed tomarrow. The last pet I have had that was fixed was my cat Felix, and I was like six years old. Is it anything to worry about? I am not really nervous but please pray everything goes well...

Will be thinking of Sally tomarrow.

She will probably be a bit groggy for the first 24 hours.
Try to Keep her quiet and don't let her lick her stitches. :D

Should be nothing to worry about. I had Pippi done two weeks ago and she did fine. She was pretty well out of it the day I brought her home and I was advised to keep her quiet for 3-5 days. (she has 5 bigger brothers and sisters). You won't want her to jump for a few days so you may need to find a way to keep her off the furniture, down off you etc. We used her crate. Pippi didn't really try to lick her stitches but I think the opening wa a little high on her belly and she couldn't reach it very well.

Before we took her.

Today we dropped her off at the vets office to get it done. The guy took her leash and made a loop to slip over her head and she nipped at him  She's never done that before. Well he tried again and moved really slow and got it. Then he had to PULL her to the back, because she pushed and pulled and would not go back there. When they got to the door she put her paw on the wall and pushed. She was bawling and shaking. I could have cried! Poor girl!
Thanks for all the comforting words everyone, I felt better after reading them. I'll remember what you said about not being able to jump and stuff. Thanks a bunch!:):D

Hello,
There should be nothing to worry about.:) My Chihuahua was spayed this year, and everything went well. She was herself the next day, and played and ate like normal. It was surprising.:)

What a pretty tummy she has.
Won't even notice a scar in a few weeks.

Welcome home Sally from your surgery.

I am glad everything went ok! When Maggie went to the vet to get spayed they let me take her back to where she would be staying, I was glad to see where she would be and that she settled in. They even let me go get her the next day! :D

Make sure she doesn't jump around, Maggie was hyper a few days after and she also went swimming, I didn't know she was swimming untill I heard the ducks. Maggie pulled some stitches from running too much, I hope Sally can relax and take it easy for a few days!
