Sorry QSA!!

Please forgive me??

I couldn't help myself........

------------------------------------------------

I just had a huge arguement with my Mom about the Pacers/Pistons fight.

Watching the coverage on the tube has led us to this impasse.

Who was to blame........

I say Ron Artest, by lying on the scorer's table he ticked off the fans......it wasn't the thing to do....maybe at home, but not on the road.....

No one is without blame here- the players and the fans should share in that area-But there was no reason for Artest to lie down on the scorer's table and act like a jerk.

Artest was already in the Doghouse with his coach- RA wanted two days off to promote his new rap album.

There's no excuse for anyone's actions but if you look at the whole tape you can see where it all went wrong.

Ben Wallace gets fouled by Artest. Wallace retalitates. (Foul and fine for that one...)

The teams push to the scorer's table and Artest make a show of NOT wanting to fight. He lies down on the table, puts on the scorekeeper's headset and acts like he's relaxing.

You don't pull a stunt like that on the road you just tick people off.
The fan's take exception to this and some Bozo tosses his cup of beer at him and clocks him........

Disclaimer:

A plastic cup with liquid in it will hurt you. I know.

Any good coach will tell you that you never play to the crowd on the road.

Could have been worse......What does a zippo lighter, cell phone,
cell phone battery, Palm pilot, digital camera, C or D batteries feel
like when you get hit upside the head???

---------------------------------

Sad Day for American Sports.....

Maybe the English golfer that said we were stupid wasn't wrong after all:( :o

I happened to see that Friday night, as it was on tv at work.

It was absolutely disgusting.

wow,

Good for David Stern and his handing down the penalties..

Now let's go after the moron fans.

Being in the in the vicinity of a few fights at sporting events, there is nothing more frightening than being caught up in a drunken brawl.....

One last point.

Artest didn't want to fight Wallace.....who hit him in the throat.

Instead he goes after some 5' 6" 170 pound muffin that tossed a beer at him....

I guess he knows how to pick his battles.....

he'll lose millions of dollars now he's grounded for the season.

I think they all need anger management classes! It would probably just tick them off though! :p

I just heard that the fan who threw the cup of beer at Artest is John Green and this is a part of the story from Fox Sports..

Green reportedly has several criminal convictions, including felony assault with intent to do bodily harm — and three drunk driving convictions. Gorcyca (Green's lawyer) said Green was not supposed to drink alcohol as a condition of his probation.

Let's see.

Artest wins with eight suspensions from the NBA!!!!

It was close!!

This dude is a friggin' mental case.

You can tell from the interviews that he has a few things going for him.....He knows how to eat, breathe and use the bathroom.
After that, you HAVE to wonder.

----------------------

The guy that chucked the cup was caught by the District Attorney
himself.....

He recognized his former neighbor from the video tape!!

Good police work.

Actually, I believe Artest has been through anger management classes, for previous battles on the court....maybe a hit in the pocketbook will speak to him!

I think its a bunch of hockey fans who have no other outlet for their aggression.

I've been amused at the coverage of this. What I haven't heard anyone say (and I haven't listened to much of it by the way, so someone out there may be saying this), is that I'm not surprised considering that this was Detroit. Aren't these the same people who throw squid on the ice? The same people who consider October 30th to be their own holiday when its ok to torch things?

Sorry if there's anyone from Detroit that I offended, but I just wasn't surprised.

And people wonder why I haven't watched an NBA game since Bird and Magic retired.....

Bird and Magic.....the good old days....

And what about Latrell Sprewell.....

Moron earns MILLIONS of dollars or playing a game and he wants a raise....

WHY????

(This is the quote of the year........)
