Yeah, I think you may need to do a system restore.

Did Norton install properly? How were you installing it? From a disc or a download from the Symantec site?

I don't know how to do a system restore!

I installed it from a disk, but when this happened I uninstalled it but that didn't help.

To do a system restore go to control panel in your start menu, pick performance and maintenance, in the left corner you should see system restore, click on it. You computer should walk you through it. I had to do a system restore for the same problem about a week ago. That fixed it. Be sure you restart your computer after you're done. Good luck.

My start menu doesn't have "performance and maintenance".

Maybe it's on a different windows?

chelsea

click on control panel

Then what?

chelsea

then go to performance and maintenance, look in the left hand corner of your screen.. you should see system restore, click on it and then your computer should guide you through it. Restart your computer once it's done.

Hi there!!!

Are you still having troubles with the screen size??

Can you go to the Desktop, right click in a free area, from the menu that appears left click on PROPERTIES then LEFT CLICK on SETTINGS from there look at the "SCREEN RESOLUTION" - If it says it is set for anything other than 800x600 slide the lil dohickey thing over to 800x600 - click OK - expect the screen to flicker and then CLICK YES when shown a new window - Let me know if this does the trick

No problem at all :)

I'm so glad it worked :)

Chelsea's suggestion of a system restore would have done the trick as well - I'm glad you were able to get it back to normal - I would however suggest you take it a step further and run a swyware/adware sweep of your PC - Sometimes spyware can cause odd, funky things like screen resolution to develop an attitude.....
