Anyone ever have a string snap....? How do you fix it? Do you need to get a completely new string??

Yup! Happened to me twice LOL. Now I'm really careful when I tune it.

I just replaced it. I was lucky and found some strings for $1.99 at a thrift store! :D

My hubby has 3 guitars and if one snaps he replace them all, but then he replaces his strings ALL the time...lol

My sister used to play the guitar. She never had that happen to her...

If you snap one, just replace it. I've only done it once.. haha... it hurts if it hits you though!

You do need to get a new string, just splicing it or tying it together doesn't work, the sound quality is destroyed that way.

I seemed to have figured out how it works myself if you can believe that. I just took the cord out. I'll byu a new one tomorrow.

(and yes it does hurt. It hit me in the face  ) I think i'll get my teacher to show me how to tune it

My husband breaks the bottom string all the time. But always when he's playing it, not when he's tuning it. You may have tightened it too much. Sorry, I know little to nothing about guitars.
