Yup... she'd be the one.

This is part of what's so cool about the situation...I get constant, almost daily "pupdates" on her and her siblings... Pics just about every other morning and stories of their antics.

I can't wait till she starts training :) Early reports indicate that this group loooooves to run!

Well, I'll be able to watch her race online.. if she makes it to Grade A races, I'll be sure to go :) Plane tickets from San Diego to Jacksonville are a little steep :mad:

Also what is grade A is it the younger pups competing against each other?

Grade A races are the top level races...They start out in schooling races... against other pups. THen they go onto "maiden races"...no prize money or betting (i think).. they have to "break their maiden" (win) to advance to graded races.. then it goes from D, C, B, and finally A level races.

If she doesn't race well, then her racing isn't profitable to the owners...some dogs dont make it out of schooling.. others make it all the way up to Grade A and beyond, then as they slow down or get injured their "graded off"... whichever happens.. Icee's already gotta home to come to when she's done :)

She's only 9 weeks old right now...She wont begin training till she's a year old. Then she'll train for 6 months, then it's off to see what she can do. If she doesnt do well.. we're looking at a little over 1.5 years.. however, if she does really well, then we could possibly talking to 5 years.. But, it's the RARE hound that races till he'she's 5. So, I'm really thinking somewhere in the area of 2-3.5 years....
