I finally got Smokey some pet insurance.
If you haven't already - do it today!
It's only $33 a month for routine and sick/injured. I wish I had done this 2 years ago.

Wow, what Ins. is that?
Most do not cover routine AND sick AND injured.
So far all that I have found have small print (make sure you read carefully) and end up covering hardy anything at all.

It's called Veterinary Pet Insurace (petinsurance.com or 1-800-USA-PETS)
They've been in business since 1982.

From what I understand - they do not cover pre existing conditions (in my case, should anything happen to the knee Smokey had cruiate ligament surgery on , they wouldn't cover it)
And they do not cover that type of ligament until you've had coverage for a year (the rep told me that's the ONLY problem which has that limitation)
But everything else is covered w/ a $50 deductable (flea meds, office visits, skin infections, etc)

I'll read the fine print when the literature gets here and decide for sure to keep it or not.
