What a beautiful senior boy. I'm sorry he has pain. :( We are dealing with the same thing with our 14 year old Lab. She is so stiff and I know that the cooler weather isn't helping that at all.

On a "lighter" note, we have 3 Golden Retrievers too! Honey and Lilly are 5 years old and half sisters (they have the same father) and we also have Zipper whose age is estimated to be around 9 years old. He's a rescue boy so we're not sure when he was born exactly, but her has that graying face and I think it is so handsome!

Give your Goldie a gentle hug from me, please. :)

Thank you for sharing your gorgeous Golden boy with us! I also have a Golden who will be 12 in January, but my girl refuses to show her age, she has just one eyebrow which is turning white right now. She understands your hip problems and says that the best cure for them are very long naps.;)

Do a little reading on the benefits and possible side effects of Glucosamine, Chondroitin Sulphate & MSM. We've had 12-14 year-old greyhounds respond well to these. Maybe your sweet old fella could benefit as well.
