Hey guys,

I just recently started playing Sims 2 so I don't know too much about it. I did play the first one, but it was a long time ago and I didn't play much at all.

My sims keep getting mad and asking for things. There are a few that I can't figure out. I took a screen shot of one of them today. It looks like a shower curtain to me, but her hygiene was fine. Does anyone know what she wants? She's mad at me!

(sorry about the quality .. I had to enlarge it because it saved small)

That's weird...I have no idea. I haven't played the Sims 2 yet though. I can't decide whether to buy it or not as my computer probably couldn't run it well. I'm hoping it will come out on playstation 2.

That looks like a blur to me! I'm not sure that I've ever seen that before.

Aly,

Does it have something to do with their Aspirations / Wants and Fears?

I found this info on the web

Question
What are 'Wants' and 'Fears' and how do they affect my game?

Answer
Everyday, your Sims have new Wants and Fears based on the Aspiration chosen when they were created. The list of daily Wants and Fears for each Sim can be accessed by clicking on the Aspiration icon. The icon is located above the Aspiration meter to the right of the selected Sim's portrait in the interface at the bottom left of the screen.

Your Sims start with 4 Wants and 3 Fears everyday. Completing one of your Sim's Wants will earn your Sim Aspiration points. Completing one of their Fears will make your Sim lose Aspiration points. Once a Want or Fear is accomplished, a new one will appear. Accomplishing Wants will raise your Aspiration meter which will allow you to achieve Gold and Platinum moods (which are even better than green!). You can also use the points you earn to purchase Aspiration Rewards. Remember, each Sim earns their own Aspiration points; they are not shared among the household.

Oh yeah I forgot about the aspirations thing. Have you been checking that? Sometimes they will want something very specific, like a window treatment costing $1,000 (just an example) check out their wants down on the bottom of the screen.

Does she have access to the shower? Sometimes when you place items it blocks the path to other items (furniture), then they start getting mad because their path this blocked.

Also, have your Sim clean the shower, that might be it.

Just a few ideas I had.

Thanks everyone for your help!

She does have access to the shower and she takes one every day. Both of my sims ask for that thing (whatever it is) when they're done eating. They yell and yell and I can't figure out what they want. I looked for a trash can but couldn't find one to buy. I can't figure out what else it could be!

I do watch their wants and aspirations and try to fill as many as I can, but none of them have matched up with this stupid thing they're asking for.

I'll keep trying things and let you all know if I figure it out.

Thanks everyone! :D

It's probably a trash compactor or maybe even a dish washer.

You know how you have all the items listed? You can have them listed by room as well, look under the kitchen one, then open the icon that has the 3 dots or the swirly thing.

Go through each category and click on the pictures of appliances to see what each is.

I just bought a dishwasher last night but I don't have a trash compactor yet! I'll try that! Thanks :)

There is a trashcan to buy in the game. It where all the extras and stuff are. I think it's an icon with 3 dots.

This really made me laugh. It makes them sound so real. I don't know whether I want to buy it or not. I really don't want my Sim to have kids but I guess I can't prevent that, right?

You don't have to make your Sims have kids. When they are ummm intimate you have a few options one is "try for a baby" so just don't click on it if you don't want them to have a baby.
