I was thinking of this today and I thought it would be interesting to see what other peoples comfort food is. :)

Heres mine:

Hamburger
Raspberry Sherbert
Corn Bread
Fry Bread *drools*

And I am sure there are more, but I can't think of any right now! :p

Okay, I know this sounds crazy ... I've been obsessing about Sugar Free Jell-O with fruit in it for days, making it with fresh fruit then the next batch canned fruits. Usually I like it, but am not sure why I crave it daily lately.

At least it's healthier than my usual standby -- chocolate. *shush!* ;) :p

When I'm feeling yucky, my tummy comfort food is chicken broth and plain goldfish...

Just to let you know its REAL fry bread, not the kind that so many people think it is-the bread dough fried in grease (sounds yummy huh? :p) its the REAL fry bread made from scratch, the kind that I love. When I lived in Cass Lake people that I knew would make the real fry bread, and it was SO good....the only real fry bread that I have tasted has been made by Native Americans. :)

In no particular order, here are a few:

Peanut M&M's
Home made spaghetti sauce
My Mom's hamburger/tomato/vegetable/noodle soup
My Mom's apple + cinnamon cake
Ben & Jerry's ice cream (mostly any flavor)
Hot chocolate (on a cold day)

For quick comfort - chocolate or ice cream

For serious comfort - a simmering pot of homemade soup or a meatloaf dinner with lumpy mashed potatoes and greenbeans made with onions and bacon:D

In the evening - warm spiced apple cider

MMMMmmmm I'm so hungry right now! Homemade macaroni & cheese with buttered Ritz cracker crumbs on top! Mashed potatoes. Homemade cream of mushroom soup (so yummy, and nothing like the canned junk, but not too much time to cook *sigh*). Tuna noodle casserole...with buttered cracker crumbs once again. I have to get out of here before my stomach eats itself! CHOCOLATE too...with oodles of nuts in it! :D :D :D

Others have already mentioned many of my comfort foods, but one that hasn't been mentioned is Spanish Rice made with hamburger, onion, green pepper, tomato sauce, chili powder, etc. Top a big helping of that with a glob of ketchup and accompanying piece of bread and butter.

I'm not really sure. I would have to say... hmmm.... a piece of toast and hot coco. I know it's kind of a breakfast food, but they are both hot and hot coco is so warm and it makes me relaxed.
