Well Emma seems to be doing worse than before :(

Before she used to chase me out of my room and come out to explore the living room, the stairs..etc.

Now she won't even step out of her safe-spot(my room), sometimes I bring her out to the living room, even with the dogs outside, and she'll run back in here.

It's been a week, and she was doing better before, but now she's doing even worse, and not wanting to get used to the rest of the house or the rest of the people, and they want to see her!

She is, however, doing good with Jasper, she layed with me on the bed with him one night, so I hope things get better with them two because they have to sleep in the same room.

Okay, onto the pictures!

These 4 are neat, I was using a bright reading light when I was taking pictures of one of the pups, and emma came over and sat on the stool, with the bright light shining on her, and with a mode on my camera, the background(and stool) completely disappeared and her eyes stood out great!

She's beautiful!!!

Just give her lots of time. It took Scout a very long time (months) to feel comfortable in the whole house and I feel safe in saying there may still be places she has yet to explore and she's been here over a year. She needs a chance to feel totally safe in your room and then slowly she will start venturing out and getting used to those areas and smells.

Oh Emma is absolutely stunning. Such beauty.
What lovely pictures.

As others have said, give her some more time, as some cats take longer than others.

Robyn, those are some gorgeous pictures of Emma! WOW!! Stunning:)
You know, a week is not really a very long time and I would not worry one bit. She will explore when she is good and ready - not to worry at all:D

Thanks Debbie :D

I guess I was worried because she seemed to be doing better before, and then she stopped wanting to come out, and chase me and explore.

My mom was suggesting to close my bedroom door so she wouldn't be able to keep running there, but I don't want to close off her safe spot, as of right now, my room is the only place she feels 100% safe.

Im sure in time, she'll start wanting to come out :)

Emma is beautiful! I love her coloring. She kind of reminds me of my Angel.

I agree with the others who said give her more time. I'm sure she'll come around, eventually. :)

Yes, I think you are exactly right about that. Finding the door to your room closed would scare her. Good for you! You are a very good cat meowmie - good instincts about their care - and actually good that you worry (we ALL do;) ) For some of us, it is a specialty!!:D

What a BEAUTIFUL girl!! She is so pretty and those eyes are so captivating!
I wouldn't worry about her because I'm really impressed that after only a week she looks so relaxed. She will explore when she is ready but I think it's great that she has chosen to stay in your room where she knows she is safe with you. That just shows what a great cat meowmie you are!!:D I agree with you 100% that closing the door to your room would only scare her. All of my cats have a safe spot and I would never block them from that. We all need a place where we feel safe.;)

She's BEAUDIFUL! Is she a Maine Coone?

Thanks :D, Im trying to be a good "meowmie", and I can't help worrying about her! Im not used to having to worry about a cat because Tigger just comes to me to attack my legs when his dish is almost empty LOL :p
