Here is Schuyler (http://catoftheday.com/archive/2003/December/02.html) in his Halloween costume from last year (don't ask me what he was supposed to be . . . just laugh!) sitting by the door ready to scare off any trick or treaters. In second pix he is in the hallway taking a break. He wore a leopard fur tutu around his expansive "waist" and a spider hat. I wonder what he will want to be this year!!?:D

You ought to re-phrase that to Poor BIG GIGANTIC boy ;) but yes he agrees, wearing costumes/clothing is not dignified according to feline standards. He got over it, but is not looking forward to this Halloween!:D Last Xmas I bought those knitted sweaters they make for teddy bears for all my cats, and he reluctantly wore it. He is such a trouper!:)

Dogs seem to be much more tolerant of clothing than cats.

I remember putting a T-shirt (made especially for cats imprinted with "Have A Mice Day" that I ordered through the mail) on Meeshe a few years ago. It was a pullover with short sleeves and he offered no resistance, but as soon as he began to walk he promptly toppled over on his side, like the "help I've fallen and I can't get up" scenario! Of course no harm done except to his pride, and I promptly removed it . . . once I regained my composure from laughing hysterically!!! :D :D :D

Since cats are used to being so agile they probably feel restricted in clothing, yet I have heard that it can have a calming effect. I certainly didn't expect my "son" to have such a fall-down-drunk reaction! :D

I find the term "of size" far kinder that 'expansive'.
;)

White kitties ROCK!
