Nebo and the booties (videos)

I was ordering some stuff from Pet Edge (catalog) and decided to pick up a pair of these....

I know he's built for cold, but I've also heard that the salt they use to melt ice in the winter can hurt dogs paws so I thought maybe he could wear these on long winter walks.

I tried them on him and he was less than thrilled...

"I don't think I can walk with these on!"

Leave them on for 30 mins at a time & try to get him in a playfull mood & soon he wont even know they r there & he'll be bouncing off the walls again :D

Max LOVED them right away. He keptcolapsing in the snow because his paws were getting frost bitten. SO I bought him booties & put them on & pushed him outside. Hes a very clever dog & noticed right away his paws were not cold. Every time I got his booties out he went ape doo doo. & as soon as I open the door to let him out & would run hard in the snow & start jumping about & bitting at the snow.

LMAO!! Awwww Nebo, Daisy feels your pain, sweetheart.

I got Daisy a pair of booties since we'll be going to the snow with her sometime in December. The first day she had them on, she just stood there with this pitiful look on her face, and she was just frozen. It was like she forgot how to walk. :p

I bought boots for Kito and Abbey when we lived in our apartment, since they sprinkled the salt all over the sidewalks and Kito used to stop dead and start limping and crying.
They walked the same way at first--wish I had the video camera then!!!!!!

Amy, I was wondering how much Nebo weighs and compares to Tori in size. I'm not for sure how tall Tori is but the last time Alden weighed her she was weighing in at 54 pounds.

That is soooooooo cute!!!! I remember walking like that in a pair of boots that were so stiff and heavy I had to lift each foot like Nebo is doing. I didn't keep the boots.

Nebo is approximately 24 inches at the shoulder and 57 lbs. :)
