Little black kitty girl has arrived okay...

Her old name is Gin, or Ginny, and we still haven't settled on a new name yet!

I hope she gets on okay with the resident cats ... a bit worried ...

That's wonderful news! It may take awhile, but things will work out in the long run. With us, introducing the third cat was easier than the second one. (That could be because Samson had been living under our house and on our porch for awhile before we decided to keep him. The girls may have been used to his scent.) Anyway, aren't more pictures of this precious little blackie girl in order?;)

How about Jet,after a neighor hood Cat,that I knew,whenm I was yopung! this Cat was so fast,and she climbed trees,and beat up other Cats,and Dogs,and lived to be 22!

Jut give Randi and Pixel time to adjust to her. As everyone has told me with my new kitties - patience.

I'm so glad to hear that you've adopted soon-to-be-renamed-Gin. She sounds like an absolute sweetie and I'm sure Pixel and Randi will welcome her with open paws soon.

How about naming her Sumbra (I think its spanish for shadow... at least thats what my friend explained her dog's names as :D ) I always thought it sounded exotic and rich.

Here are some pics of Nibbler! Scott and I were lying in bed talking about names, then we talked about our other two cats former names, Randi was Stargate, and Pixel was Leila. So, Scott joked that we should have named Randi "Bender" and Pixel "Leela" from Futurama so we could name the kitty "Nibbler." It's just such a cute name, she does nibble a lot and she is as fearless and cute as her animated namesake :)

Introductions were a little terse - both Randi and Pixel having a hiss and a growl. Both big kitties have spent lots of time watching little kitty play. Now, Pixel is a lot more relaxed and the two have tentively played together. Randi and Nibbler got off to a bad start with Randi scaring Nibbler and the hissing started. Now they are both terrified of each other! They were sort of playing earlier, but Randi doesn't like Nibbler getting any more than 15 inches close to him. At this stage. I could probably leave all three together while we are at work, but not ready to take the risk!! Give it another week or so ... and we'll see!

They all seem to be warming up together. Randi is much less tense in Nibbler's presence, and Pixel has started playing with her! :D I still keep them all separated at night and during the day, I want to make sure that the two bigger cats a) get a long with Nibbler, b) know that they are not to play rough with her (Pixel seems to understand this, but I'm not sure about Randi as they haven't really played yet)
