My husband and I went to the closing this afternoon and bought our first house. We will be moving in on Saturday night. I am so excited!!! I can't wait to move and actually have a house of my own for once in my life.

Jen,
I almost had the hubby talked into one of your fosters. I was telling him that she would match Cubby purrfectly, and that it would be such a nice drive to go down there. The whole time I was giving him this whole spill of your foster. Then he asked where your from. He figured that would be to long of a drive with the new house and all. I was so close and yet so far away! :(

It's so exciting buying a house & getting to decorate it!
We've been in our house only 2 years now but it's so much nicer than renting. I was really excited with our big back yard.....so I could do a lot of gardening!!!:)

Congratulations!!!

That's a quick settlement and move - good for you! We had to wait 60 days after we paid a deposit and it seemed to take forever. Hope you settle in quickly and enjoy your new home :)

We bought it from a friend of ours. My husband grew up with the man we bought it from. I was very suprised the bank women told us she only needed 2 weeks to close on the house. Every bank we have ever talked to the wait was at least a month. I wont be decorating any time soon, just because at this time I have more than enough going on. I will be taking pictures when I move in and I will post them as soon as I get my internet back.

Congratulations!!!!

I just bought my first house this past July so I have a pretty good idea of what your going through. The one thing I will say is that it is alot more work than I thought (but then again I re-paint the entire interior by myself).

Enjoy and have fun with it...

Congratulations, that is a giant step in a persons life so I know how excited you are!! It will be a lot of fun setting it up, fixing it up and getting things how you want them to be! SO exciting!!!
