Poppy's Intro...

As some of you know, for the past couple of weeks, I had been walking around the house with Poppy in my arms, and slowing letting the cats get use to his smell. Sades was the only one who hissed at him.
Well, since I got the okay from the vet that I could start letting him interact with the big guys, I gave him his freedom thursday from the room.
I have learned that Poppy is one playfull kitty. Play, play, play, all the time. I swear, when he was out of the room, he never slept and the big guys were getting the brunt end of it. It was sooooo funny. Poppy found his haven under the couch. When one of the cats would walk by, out would dart Poppy, jump on the back of them and dart back under the couch. The poor cats didn't know what hit them. But they have been so good with the little guy. The main one that plays with him is Chipper. Mooky lets him know when he has had enough. Sades chases the bejeezes out of him and then Poppy will turn and chase Sades. Katie would rather the little brat wasn't here. But all in all it is going really well, even though I have had to put Poppy in the room for a time out to give the big guys and gal a rest from him.
I got some good pics of Poppy and Chipper as he was the only one who has interacted with him so far.

Here is the usual smelling the butt routine, but as you can see, little Poppy couldn't quite reach Chipper's.

Awww... thats so cute. Looks like Chipper is happy to have a new playmate brother. Doesn't it just make your heart swell with pride to see your new baby welcomed so easily by your crew?

Those are precious pictures Lorraine and it looks like little Poppy is fitting right in:D Chipper is such a sweetie and obviously a great big brother, too! I loved each picture.:) Always has to be butt smelling!!!

Aww, what cute pictures. I'm so glad Poppy is better and is out with the big guys. Looks like it is going well. I had to laugh at picturing him darting out tagging the bigs ones and running back under the couch. How funny! I wished my guys were so open and friendly to the kittens.

Looks like Chipper is quite happy with his new playmate. They are very cute together. I like Chipper's markings...he's very distinctive!

OH! Look at that adorable baby with the ever adorable Chipper! Those pictures are too cute!!:D Little Poppy is so adorable and it sounds like he is making friends quickly. It's amazing how a little kitten can spunk up even the oldest and laziest cats. I'm so glad that Poppy is having so much fun! I know you are so happy to finally have him out of his room and intereacting with the others. I bet Poppy is glad he can come out and play with Chipper now.

Those pics are ADORABLE! And jan is right! Chipper's hip markings are very nice! Tell him I said so! Poppy looks pleased as punch and I'll bet he's just tickled with himself everytime he darts out from under the couch (african brush) and grabs himself a grown cat (antelope)! GO POPPY! Too bad they don't know they are prey... keep 'em comin'!!
