I was reading up on teacup chihauhau's because I wanted to see if they really existed lol but on some sites it would be like: Pure bred Teacup Chihauhau's and on other sites it would be like: Dont let people fool you teacup chihauhau's are just a fancy name to get your money

LOL do you guys know which one is true?

The second is true.
"Teacup" is just a term coined by byb's and puppymills to make the breed seem rare.
But when you are breeding such small dogs you run into major health problems (same goes for breeding giant dogs).

The standard for a chihuahua states that the chihuahua is supposed to be under 6 pounds. That's it. So a 2 pound chihuahua is just a small chihuahua. It is not a "teacup" chihuahua.

Sorry, I don't know if that made any sense. The term teacup just sets me off and makes my blood boil.

The so-called "teacup" chihuahua is a throwback. Sometimes a standard bitch will throw an excessively tiny puppy that remains small throughout its life, and this is the teacup. They are genetically weaker than a standard chi, and my understanding is that a responsible breeder will stop a line if a bitch starts throwing genetically weak pups.

I totally agree, the things people will do for money makes me really sad. :(
