Yeah, yeah, yeah...I told myself "we're just looking today and adopting later".  Well, that's didn't work. :p I went to Elmbrook (where we got Peanut) to see what other bunnies they had there, I was originally interested in a black rex named Anubis. I got to see him and play with him. He was EXTREMELY afraid to come out of the cage and has had hardly any socialization. They also said he most likely would not get along with other rabbits. So, Anubis was out of the question. I looked at the other rabbits they had, and came across these two little babies- what darlings! One was a little female and the other one was a boy. I asked to see the boy. The lady took him out, he LOVED attention, gave me lots of kisses on the fingers, and explored every nook and cranny of the room. He was SUPER friendly, I was poking him around the mouth to see how he would react- never even bit me or seemed annoyed. I held him in the air a little bit slightly tilted back, just to see if he was clam- never moved a muscle till I put him down, then he scampered about smelling everything. I was in love, we had to adopt him.
He is only 3 months old and his name is Buster. He's neutered and starting to use the litter box. He used the litter box just fine at the humane society, but he is pooping all over the cage here- probably because he is in a new place. I've been placing his little poopies in the litter box, so he gets the clue to go potty in there. Peanut was extremely ticked off at first, which is normal, now she is starting to calm down and trying to get to know him. Don't worry, they are separated so they won't fight or get injured. Buster has NO problem at all with Peanut, he is VERY curious about her. He is used to female rabbits, since he was housed with a female at the humane society- what a plus! Peanut is starting to warm up to Buster.
He is *so* tiny compared to my Princess- she is the size of Sammy and weighs around 7 pounds, he is the size of a Chihuahua (give or take) and no more than 2 pounds. :D
Anyways, welcome Buster to Pet Talk! :D
Ready to die of cuteness overload!?! I don't think you are...put your "overload sunglasses" on!
