Someone else posted a thread with a picture of their dream home, so I thought rather than hijack the thread ,I could start this one, so go ahead everyone dreams are free, this is one I would love to build, I would have to import the snow though lol, and it is an American home, I am somewhat partial to them, they are different in design, and i like different.

This is another american home I love, I would prefer to build a mud brick home because it is great for the enviroment, and your well being, and cost effective, this home could probably be built that way.

Last but not least, this is probably the home i would end up building, it is a nz plan, and probably cheaper than the rest and easier to build, I would however have a shingled roof, with schist(sp) stone, and built in logs like a log cabin, the plan is pretty good too. AH WELL DREAMS ARE FREE FOLKS.:)

I have SO MANY that I dont' know where to start. I'll start by saying *some* of the places I'd like to live...

New Zealand
Middle-Earth:p
England
Scotland
The mountains....
rolling hills
Prairies:p
forest

Really, I'm not picky. I just don't want to live on an apartment tower in a big city and having a view of smoke...I love nature.

Mmmm lots of houses to, I'll try to find a few.

Here are my dream ranches.
http://www.ranchland.com/images/commerce/blowup/Sun1l.jpg
The Sun Ranch, one of North America's premier ranches, is situated in the Big Ranch Country of Montana's Madison Valley. The ranch encompasses approximately 25,000 acres and stretches from the banks of the Madison River, known for its Blue Ribbon fishing, to the border of Yellowstone National Park. Spanning approximately nine miles in length, it contains no public access easements through its 18,000 deeded acres.

The ranch supports approximately 200 head year round and summers approximately 2,700 head of steers. It has been managed for wildlife and is one of the most unique hunting ranches in the country. The Madison River Ranch is winter home to approximately 2,500 head of Elk from bordering Yellowstone Park, plus many other species of Rocky Mountain Wildlife.

The stunning main residence, originally built in 1959, has been recently remodeled to include two stories and is beautifully sited near the center of the property capturing 360-degree views. The original barns and corrals are maintained in pristine condition and include: caretaker's residence, log horse barn, pole corrals and various outbuildings. Additional improvements include: manager's house, three-bedroom guesthouse, Forman's residence, shop and two sets of corrals.

Location: Cameron, Montana

Price: $29,000,000 - SOLD

I just bought it- that's why it's sold. Haha, I wish.

One of the barns (there are 4 I believe):

Ash Creek Ranch is a majestic 933-acre ranch property and equine event center adjoining the Nebraska National Forest. Ash Creek Ranch is located 17 miles southeast of Crawford and near Fort Robinson Sate Park in the scenic "Pine Ridge" area of Northwest Nebraska. The improvements are generally new with the centerpiece being a new, state-of-the-art, heated, indoor riding arena, 150' x 300' with 40' ceilings and 34 indoor stalls attached and with the arena. Attached to the arena is a 3,600-square-foot office/apartment/recreation area. Additional improvements include three other horse barns with 38 additional heated indoor stalls, wash racks, tack and vet rooms, and breeding and foaling facilities. A hay and equipment storage building, shop, and 500-head feedlot round-out the livestock facilities. Three new modular homes, two frame and one log, and a mobile home provide living quarters for the ranch employees. A beautiful 5,400-square-foot home greets you at the end of the day. Adjoining the 20,000 acre Nebraska National Forest, Ash Creek Ranch is blessed with 100-mile views and wildlife including fox, pheasant, deer, elk, turkey and grouse to name a few. The property has a mix of land types including a Ponderosa forests, undulating to gently rolling native grasslands and cultivated lands for hay or grain production. Ash Creek Ranch offers the best in equestrian facilities with a paradise setting and excellent location.

My dream house...

.

Not sure you're ready for this

My friend makes fun of me for living in a soggy box, so this is a step up for me..

no seriously, I don't have a dream house. I just want it to be big enough for a lot of animals. A huge yard with a paddock for horses and a huge fence for dogs. I want to have a kennel/shelter to foster animals in need
