View Full Version : I'm inheriting another bird

A friend of mine who is much older than I am has been very sick for the past year. She is 66 and has very bad rheumatoid arthritis. Some days she cannot even get out of bed. She has good days and bad days, but the bad days are very bad. Some days she can't even feed herself, yet some days she can get up and do things. Anyway, she has a bare-eye cockatoo that she can no longer care for and wants me and only me to take her. Her name is Charmin and she is a sweetie. I never thought I would have another cockatoo, Baby is enough, but I know I can handle it. She is a great bird and I am honored to have her join my crew.

We are going to get her this afternoon and I will post pictures later.

How wonderful that you can help out the lady who needs help. Her Charmin will have a wonderful home with you, I'm sure. :)

I took this picture yesterday and she was a bit timid. Today she is doing better and hopefully tomorrow I will get a few more pictures.

*note*Charmin is a "bare-eye cockatoo". She is not the most attractive thing, but that is how her eyes are suppose to look.

Unfortunately she won't get better. She has her good days and bad days, but lately there have been a lot of bad days. :(
