View Full Version : Laundry Detergent?

Sorry if this is a dumb question or has been asked before. I have a load of laundry in the washer right now. So I was just wondering what everyone else uses.

I usually use Tide since it seems to work best for us. Yeah it is more expensive then most but I love the smell. I got a free sample of the New Tide with a touch of Downy. I think it smells really good and I'm washing my kids clothes in it. I plan to buy it after I run out of the tide I have now.

I am using Tide Mountain Spring liquid I like it pretty well.

I use to buy Purex it is ok too, but it did not do as good job washing our laundry.

So what do you use?

Tide! Nothing freshens up your clothes like Tide. We used to buy different ones all the time, but Tide (the powder one), is by far, the best. I love the smell.

Right now, I'm using Cheer, but most of the time I use Tide and I love the new stuff with Downy in it. :)

I buy whatever is on sale. But for my fabric softner I have to use Suavitel, it smells so nice and makes my clothes feel very soft.

Was using Purex but wasn't thrilled with it. Just got Wisk and so far, I'm liking it better. I don't know that I'll *only* buy one kind though... I'll probably get whatever is decent and on sale.

I also have to use the HE detergent and I've found that I really love the smell of Gain. It seems to last a long time.

Currently we're using Purex. It normally switches from Tide to whatever though.

I'm not sure what kind we used at your house but I still smelt it on my clothes when we got home. It made me smile really big cause it reminded me of you all. :p

Right now I am using Cheer but I also use Tide. Depends on which is on sale and which I have a coupon for.

I use Gain too. I get it at Sam's Club in the HUGE container with the spout! :)

I am spoiled. All our laundry gets dropped off at the laundromat, I pick it up in a day or two and put it away... :o So, I don't know what they use, but everything smells nice when it comes back.:D

I use Tide much of the time. My second choice is Gain. And we buy ours at Sam's Club too, so we don't have to buy it as often! :)

That's what we use too. Justin gets an allergic reaction to detergent with perfumes.

Sam's Club sells a big ole pail (40 lbs) of something called Wind Fresh. I don't know if I am remembering correctly but I think is sells for under $10.00 and it works just fine. I have a front loading Maytag machine which I'm supposed to use the HE, but I can never find that in any of the stores, so just use less of the Wind Fresh, so I'm probably getting more than the 160 loads that are indicated on the pail. I don't think anything will beat that for being economical and like I said, it works well.

LOL I'm sure I'm the only one who knows what it is. In Tucson they actually sell it at target, it makes me excited. It smells so nice :)

In spite of being made by the evil Procter and Gamble, I find Tide works the best, and they sell large containers at BJ's.

I voted for Purex, b/c that is what i currently have...it's cheap at Walmart. But i love the smell of Gain...and used to use it, so i think once the Purex is gone, I'll buy some Gain.
