There was no reason, that if they wanted,to eat that Pig,taht they couldnt, have killed him, first,so at least that Poor Creature, would not be in pain. I hate the Networks, and Never Ever watch, thier programming!

From what I saw...and they didn't show the actual killing... the pig was dead before placed over the fire. It was carried on a pole and then placed on the ground and dispatched with a swift hit to the head.

There was no slow torture or anything, they didn't show anything at all!

This was exactly how it happened. Unfortunately animals do die for our food (I do eat meat, btw). They killed him in the most "humane" way possible. Survivor probably should have had a warning or disclaimor for the episode, but it wasn't as icky as it was made out to be.

sorry if i got some of the facts wrong
I had got it from a reliable source that this was in fact what happened and I guess it was not that accurate

I didn't take it the wrong way at all. They were showing these people and viewers what their ceremony is like, it happens all the time, the killing of animals. It's just when people WITNESS it, it causes all the ruckus. I had no problem with it at all, I am by no means a vegetarian. I love the show, I see nothing wrong with it.

I left the room when they carried the pig in and I saw that he was still alive. I can not watch torturous things done to animals but of course, they didn't show it.
