Drake, Andrew, and I are back from our trip to Spain. We were gone for about 3 weeks and got to see a great deal of the country. We just loved it! The people there were so friendly and the weather was fabulous. The landscape, Mediteranean Sea, the olive trees, and archituecture reminded me alot of home, Lebanon.

We did a lot of camping, hiking, and climbing. The beaches were great and we spent several days out on the beach. The cities had so much history, and we enjoyed walking around and checking out the sites. Unfortunately, Spain is not very pet friendly. We went with the Intention of camping most of the time, so that wasn't a problem. But the nights we did want to spend at a hotel, we had to search for hours for a place that would allow dogs.

On the trip, we visited: Roses, Barcelona, Hospitalet, Valencia, Sierra Carzola, Granada, Cordoba, Toledo, Madrid, Zargoza, Huesca, and Rodellar.

We took hundreds of pictures, but I am posting only Drake related ones. Drake had a great time. He enjoyed digging in the sand at the beach and swimming in the Med, running around on the trails and climbing the rocks, walking in the cities and visiting old historic sites.

Drake is definitely the luckiest dog! I can't let Sadie see the pictures, she will be jealous. Is it difficult to travel to different countries with him? I want to take Sadie to California but putting her on an airplane is too stressful for me :(.

Great pictures! Beautiful scenery!

Great pictures! Beautiful scenery!

It's really not that difficult to travel. Proof of Rabies is required always, and some countries ask for a health certificate. England, Sweden, and Finland are much more difficult (quarantine). Drake has been on a plane several times, but we try to drive if that is possible. Don't stress over the plane issue, just do your homework, arrive in plenty of time, and sedate.

Yes, I got my hair cut the day before we went to Spain. I have never had it this short before. It has grown on me and I like it.

Glad you liked the pictures!

I am so glad you had a wonderful time. I love that building in Zargosa! Do you know what it's called? I love all the Drake pics. That one of him buried in the sand is just too much. We can really see his personality in these pics. That one with Don Quiote was cute.

That is El Pillar in Zargoza, a 17th century cathedral. It also contains frescoes by Velázquez and Goya. It was wonderful to see the art we learned about in books right in front of our eyes!

Drake looks as if he had a blast:D All that water and mountains and beaches- so much fun for a dog.

I have been some times to Andalucia and recognized the wall of the Mezquita immediately:) The remnants of the Arab culture in the time from 1000 to 1492 are soooo impressive.

Unfortunately it's true that Spain is not very pet friendly. But I hope Drake could win some people over;)

Oh, Souraya, the pictures are great! The scenery is beautiful and best of all the gorgeous Drake! :) Thanks for sharing. :D

I didn't think it was so difficult to travel to England now there is the 'Pet Passport'? I thought quarantine was a thing of the past, unless it depends on which country you bring a pet from?

Seriously though, these pictures are amazing. I just can't get over that Drake has probably seen more of this planet than I ever will! :)

wow!! sounds like an amazing trip! I loved the one of him burried in the sand!! glad you were able to bring gorgeous Drake along! it seems Europe is much more dog friendly than the U.S. which is very unfortunate. but of course there are lots of doggy specific places here too, just gotta know where to go I s'pose. ;) Id love to travel across the country with Brock, or anywhere really. lol I too am afraid of putting him on a plane though.

thanks for sharing the beautiful photos!
