Hemolyzing E.Coli

I've posted a while ago about a bad diarrhea my Luna had. It even came back after a while, so her stool has been tested for bacteria. Today I've got the result, there are hemolyzing e.coli in her colon, vet says these bacteria are very aggressive, so Luna will be given a treatment with antibiotics, Amoxicillin. The vet also informed me that it would be hard to cure these infections, especially for young cats.
Has anyone experiences with this kind of bacteria?
