i was just wondering if there are any doggies on petfinder that look like your dogs? i found a couple that look exactly my Beanie! :eek:

It's hard to find dogs that look like yours when they're mixed. I haven't seen one yet that looked like him. Although, when I was at the shelter with Kay, there was a dog that looked somewhat similar.

These are the closest I've ever found that resemble Tango, the older one isn't on petfinder anymore though.

This puppy that I found on Petfinder looks exactly like Molly did when she was a pup.

It's quite common to see dogs that look similar to Murph on petfinder and just the other day I saw one that looked almost exactly like Maddie.

I've never seen any smoothies that look like Oz on petfinder. Although, at the Houston Collie rescue site, I did see a shaved Rough Collie that looked very similar to Oz, but with brown eyes. Course once her hair grew out, I'm sure she looked nothing like him. I haven't even seen any like Oz on the breeder sites. I think with his pronounced merling and blue eyes, he's fairly rare.

The blue merles like Gull though, I do see quite often on breeder sites, but haven't stumbled across any in rescue or on petfinder.

This is the closest i could find to Dale. Very rarely will you find a purebred Greater Swiss Mountain Dog in a shelter, if so, a breeder usually finds out about it, and takes them. Swissie breeders are few, and the ones that do breed, make sure that any new owners would give back the dog to them (we signed contracts), if for any reason the dog was not wanted, before placing them in a shelter, they don't want the breed to become over-populated, so to speak. They want the breed to remain true to it's natural origin, and so, they are also careful of who they adopt out to, to make sure the people are resposible and will neuter/spay, and have a good relationship with the new owners, tey also make you wait sometimes a year before adopting one, to be sure you are ready for it and have thought it over...anway, that said...this is the best i could find: She looks like him minus the white blaze between the eyes, she may be part rottie...
