I was looking at coonhounds and it doesnt look like this doggie is,,, I am thinking he is looking more like a pointer!!!! I got this from a lady I have been talking to about coons and sent his pic,, and she sent me this back....

People are not always great at breed identification. The things with this pup that make me think Pointer over Coonhound are the lack of long ears (most coonhounds ears reach at least to the tip of their nose) and the lack of lips or jowls Lastly the ears are set too high on the head (coonhound ears are low on the sides of the head and they have a domed almost pointed head often referred to as a "hound knot"

AWW Kip is a cutie! I don't think he looks like he has coonhound in him either. :confused: He looks almost just like a dog a co-worker has, and he's supposed to be a lab/aussie. I could see him having pointer, probably more likely german shorthair pointer than english pointer. My friend has a german shorthair and I can see a similarity. Whatever he is, he's cute!

Well Ray,,, formly known as Kip is home,,, and get this ladies,,, he is most likely only 3 months old, weighs 25 lbs and the vet is 90% sure he has great dane in him,,,, anyone know where I can get a good saddle?????:D :D :D

things are going well,,,, he pees like a race horse,, but today,, only a cpl of accidents,,, we are putting him out every 45 mins or so,,,, he is sitting on command, just starting to give his paw when asked,,, and is getting along with Lucy pretty well,, he loves to play and Lucy is playing back,, but I think right now,, her frame of thought is more like,, I hate my stinky brother,, when is he leaving??:D She is a bit sulky,, but we are making a point of giving her lots of love..... Ray loves his crate... BIGTIME!!!

his name,,, well I came up with a few really great names,, but hubby and sone didnt care for them much....
my first choice was Zorro,,, then Mozart... then came Raybob.. sounds odd,, but its a variation of all the men in the familys name,,,,, We decided on Ray to name him after my hubbys dad...Raymond.
Lucy is named after my adopted mom Lucy Herman,,,, but mom called her LucyBelle as a pet name,, so when we got Lucy,,, she was also born on the same day that my mom died,,, so the names of the dogs all tie into family.....

Well having this new pup in the house ,, for me,, is exhausting!!! I am so new to this multiple doggie thing it isnt funny!!! Last night I was so freaked Lucy would hurt him.... but so far,, nothing ..... whew!! I am slowly relaxing,,,, and lucy is finally calmed enuff to sleep when in the same room as he is....:)

Well,, with the great dane in him,, I think we will be doing dog obedience asap!! He is already really strong and I have a hard time walking him even now,,, I had a really bad car accident 5 yrs ago,, a head on collision,, and I was pretty banged up,,, my shoulder is messed up,, so I just CANNOT have a ill behaved GD!!! Too much weight!!!
