10 km run

Every September my school does a 10km run in hononr of Terry Fox, Last year i was sick and walked the *whole* thing, and i got a time of 1hr 27 (bad eh) what do u think would be a reasonnle time to run 10 km, (all flat) in? I would like to set a goal!:D

I asked my son (who does 10K runs all the time) and he suggested looking up the race's results from last year. you can see who came in first, last and everywhere in between and that should be able to help you determine where you'd like to be. Its hard (he says) to base a time when he doesn't know the terrain and how old you are,etc.
