Hit-and-run victim gives birth
A woman who was run over by a car after soon finding out she was pregnant, has given birth to a healthy baby daughter.
Amy Edgecumbe was hit by a car on a night out with boyfriend Mathew Rippin, in Hull, on December 27 last year.
As she lay bleeding, the driver stopped briefly, but then drove off.
The 19-year-old suffered a shattered arm, fractured hip and bruising to the brain. She still has the tyre marks on her stomach. But now she has a healthy daughter Lily-Mae.
Amy said: "I feel lucky to be alive and so relieved about my baby. She is fantastic . . . absolutely perfect."
She added: "The driver's front wheel went over my stomach, then his back wheel. It ripped my skin.
"It was terrifying wondering whether my baby would die or be crippled. A hospital scan showed everything was alright - but there was always a nagging doubt."
A teenager was later fined £100 for failing to report an accident, says The Sun.

They called the daughter Lily-mae.....Why not call her "A Cab"??
