HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Lita & GOTCHA DAY For her and her mama Lola!

It's Labor day and one year ago Leslie and I were tearing through a rubble pile trying to find the newborn kittens Lola (who's vision impaired) had just given birth to. They were found tangled by umbilical cords around roots coming out of the ground. All were ice cold, and Lita was the only survivor. :( But she's one cute stuff tortie girl! Lola is still very very shy (there goes hopes of adopting the two out *sigh*) and Lita is finally allowing my hubby to pat her once in a while. Well HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY Lita, and HAPPY GOTCHA DAY Lola & Lita!:D ;) :) :p :D

Thank you deb! from me and jan!!! (she is wrapped up in new tyke right now, did you read the thread?) Anyway, Lola and Lita are happy torties and both nearly died. Little Lita and her littermates at age 24 hours or less. had to be warmed on our bellies while we searched for and finally found mom Lola! (a block away- I kept her busy by tossing her pieces of sardines to keep her in one place while jan literally drove her car backwards down the block to retreive the trap that was set for her!) As hard as we tried to warm them, it was too late, they all felt like little ice cubes. Lita, however, the little ice cube, made it!!! So happy birthday Lita! (her mama is pretty much blind but seems happy enough!)
