Antare discovers the bed...

Last night after his day of adventure (see my other post) Antare was sleeping the house. He's not crate trained, but I have an old leash tied to my bed and that's Antare's spot to sleep when he's inside. If he's not tied to the bed he paces the house all night and his little toenails on the wood drive me crazy.

This is where i found him when I went to bed.

In two years, Antare has never jumped up on the bed before!

Last night he even stayed there when I climbed into bed. Antare is very, very timid. Usually feet anywhere near him is cause for a panic. I even got to give him some serious petting without too much cowering!

Maybe he realized how good he has it while he was out in the big, scary world!

Awww sweet Antare, I'm so glad he got some special time inside and let down his guard. He looks like he just discovered something wonderful and can't quite believe that he gets to be up there.

How funny.. but true! My two were gone over night last winter, it went down to 9!! (Well below freezing) They stuck together and slept in the snow. They were gone for almost 24 hours.

They have not snuck out of the yard since!
Dogs do learn their lessons!:D
And now, I'm sure you will not get Antare out of your bed!!!
