My cat Scooter has a red rash on about a third of his body.
It doesn't appear to itch, he doesn't seem to be in any discomfort.
I had him to the vet not long ago, when some of his fur started falling out.
She told me that it was either
1. Stress of some sort causing the fur to fall out
2. He was alergic to something in his diet.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I came home one day and noticed some fur on the ground, in a few clumps. I thought it might be that it's because he's shedding. I noticed it only one other time. Wasn't sure what it was from. But it made me realize that Zezu isn't all black. He is two toned. The fur closest to his body is gray and then turns black.

Cats losing hair is very symptomatic of stress. If a vet has checked and found no obvious cause for the rash then you should look at your kitties environment and try and determine if there is something that has changed and perhaps causing some undue stress...In cats this is usually another animal or person that is causing the tension.

Anything recent that you can think of that might have changed?

The only thing that has changed for Scooter is that I am now a full time student, and he unfortunatly doesnt see me as much. That could well be the cause.
Luckily I am done school very soon, and hopefully will be able to spend more time with him.
