I have a white cat named lucy(as mentioned under cat breeds). She was only about 8 or 9 months old when she had her first litter of kittens. This scared me because she was very small. She gave birth to two boy cats, Velcro and Marble. The most part that scared me is when Velcro came out backwards (is this why he is so dumb http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/rolleyes.gif We called the vet and said if it took Lucy more than 5 minutes to get the kitten out, to put gloves on and start pulling. We waites about 7 minutes and I kept telling my mom just to pull(she was a nurse who had helped deliever). She got gloves on and helped Lucy.
Lucy welcomes the help and my mom had pulled the kitten out! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif Lucy cleaned him off and boy did that kitten have jet black fur and a big head http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/eek.gifThe last kitten came 2 hours later and he was small but came out the right way( he now weighs 20 lbs.)The black one, Velcro we think lost brain cells. His meow is so annoying and he loves to run infront of our car when we come up the driveway. I call him a bakka (japanese).Anyone else have a cat like this? http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/confused.gif

I had to deliver two kittens once, too. I had a foster who was pregnant. She only had two kittens, which meant they were large and therefore couldn't turn around, so they came out "feet first", too. We had to pull Yankee out, but Doodle (they were born on Independence Day) managed to come out on her own. I remember panicking, too, especially since it was a holiday, but the vets at the emergency clinic were very helpful. Neither of those kittens were "tetched", though, in fact they were both very smart little girls.
