Just wanted to give everyone an update on Merlin. He stayed around my house for 3 days last week and then he disappeared for some time, but last night I was working outside getting the camper ready for next weekend and I heard these low mewing sound. It was Abner. He was all upset because Merlin was rolling in the catnip in the front garden and Abner did not want Merlin there.

I went and got Merlin some dinner and I was able to get a few more pictures of him. He is so handsome looking. He is still very, very skiddish around me but I am able to site just about a foot away from him. So here are a few pictures.

So you still don't know if it's a Merlin or a Merlynn?? Don't worry, I'm sure he/she will come around soon enough. Kitties know a good Meowmie when they see one.

Merlin,is very much, like the White, and Tabby Cat,that has come to the Hotel recently, for his meals,as he too,is skittish! And he is Scratchy,as he clawed my fingers, when I tried to pet him.I hope, that you can be friends, with Merlin,as he looks, like a Fine Cat!

He is such a gorgeous black kitty.

What do you think his story is? Do you think he is a two timer or a stray?

Lori, I don't know quite what to make of Merlin. I'm pretty sure he is a stray because he is just so scared to come close to people. I can site about a foot away from him but if I move the slightest bit he is ready to run the other way.

I have a new neighbor who is an animal lover and she said that when she sees him she will offer him a plate of food as well but she said that he won't eat what she gives him. I think it is because he has already gotten his meal from me.

I'm totally in love with Merlin. He looks like he has some Meezer in him because of the shape of his face and the long and lanky body he has.

Last night he was having the best time rolling in the catnip until Abner had to stick his nose where it did not belong.

Merlin looks a lot like my neighbors cat! Same lanky shape and color. Looks like a big kitty too! Hopefully you can make friends with him/her! Don't be skittish Merlin dear, there is a good meowme ready to help you!

Is he as big as he looks in his pictures? He looks well fed and not eaten up with fleas.. Hes coat is shinny too. Maybe he is somebodys unaltered Ton Cat?

Merlin is beautiful! Of course I'm partial to the blackies, but he sure does look sleek and shiny. I'm sure you'll have him eating out of your hand in no time.....especially if he sees Mystic throught he window. :D ;) :D

Well Merlin just came back for dinner this evening and when he turns to the side you can see just how much of a tummy he does
NOT have. He is very, very skinny through the tummy area. I made a little more progress with him tonight...I was able to give him a slight touch on the top of his head. Of course he went running a few feet away but came right back within seconds. I figured I had touched him twice and that was enough so I called it a night and let him have the rest of his dinner in peace.

He is sitting in my bird garden watching the birds. He seems very content.
