Cat had kittens!

My boyfriend's cat had kittens last night - 5 of them!! Is there any special information we need to know to be able to take the best care of them possible??

i'd call the vet and ask them. or find a book or website on caring for them.

oh, and i recomend taking a picture of every one of them asap. you'll be happy you did this in about 6 months.

Hi, neighbor!

Mom cat will mostly know what to do. They will mostly eat and sleep for the next few weeks. Make sure Mom cat has plenty of good quality food (if finances are not a problem a pet-store or vet-only brand of kitten food, or Iams kitten food from the grocery store is best - if not possible any kitten food) and fresh water close by, as well as a litter box (if she normally went outside before). And for gosh sakes, get her spayed when those babies are weaned!
