Well, they're actually my parents' doggies ;) I finally got some good pictures of both of them this weekend, so I thought I'd share.
This is Dixie. She was born May 9, 1991 - when I was in 4th grade - I was 9 years old. I'm now 23, so she's been around the majority of my life and she's very special to me. She's a golden lab/black lab/golden retreiver/husky/who-knows-what-else mix. I love her to death. We call her Dixie Doodle, which was funny b/c we just had a Dog Of The Day the other day named Dixie Doodle! Dixie has cataracts, hearing loss, arthritis and dizziness. I worry about her a lot, but she's lived a long and happy life....anyway, on to the pics.

Because of the arthritis and dizziness, she has problems standing upright. You can tell in this picture, looking at the position of her back legs. :(

Dixie and my dad. He loves her to death. They live alone together now, and he's so attached to her.

Next is my mom's Mini German Schnauzer, Harley. Harley is an AWESOME dog. He's made me want a mini german schnauzer of my own. Mom adopted him two years ago from a breeder. He was four years old then, and was ready for "retirement." He "talks" all the time - makes these cute little grunting noises - and my mom said when she went to adopt him, she went up to him and said, "Do you wanna go home with me?" and he looked straight into her eyes and talked to her, then went straight to her car without looking back once. Hopped right in, and he loves her to death. He's got a very soulful expression, and a supersweet personality.
