Oh dear Mowgli. You look so pathetic in http://www.gifpix.de/smilies/3/banned3.gif
You must have been a very nawtee boy. http://www.gifpix.de/smilies/2/nono.gif
It just breaks my heart looking at your sad, sad eyes.
I will put my thinking cap on http://www.gifpix.de/smilies/2/kopfkratz.gif and see what I can do to http://www.gifpix.de/smilies/6/help.gif you out of your situation.
In the meantime, maybe I can http://www.gifpix.de/smilies/2/schleich.gif over there and spring you out of jail.

Mowgli's guilty of the usual - a liquidy assault on the bed. This time I'm not giving in to his pitiful "let me out" cries. Must... be... strong...

Look at that face!!!!!!!! I can't stand it!!! I'm calling for an airline ticket right this minute Mowgli! I hate to fly but if that's what it takes to get you sprung then I'm going to do it!

This broke my heart!

Lacey, how long does he have to stay in there?:( :(
What did he do? Towels again?

CCL, we're going to try for a week in there with very strictly supervised stretch breaks.

Just be glad I don't have a mic to record how pitiful he sounds, otherwise I'd probably have PT'ers rushing from all over to spring him out!

I wonder if he knows why he's in there? I hope this helps because I can't figure out why he's still doing it. Did he go somwhere different this time or was it the bathroom again?

Lacey - is there any way you can deny him access to your bed - shut the door or something?

I don't think he is getting the idea of time out and the more he does it will make it more of a habit. Could you put a huge piece of plastic over your bed like maybe the kind they wrap furniture in? I don't think he would like the feel of that and it would stop him from using your bed.

I wished I knew of something that would help.

How about a tiny cork? :D :D Sorry, but I've made the threat here a few times...applied with super glue!

CCL: The other day Mowg used the bed in the morning, followed by the rug in front of the door in the evening. The latter of which he'd done right in front of me.

Jazzcat: I'm hoping an extended time-out will do the trick and get him used to the litterbox. Before I didn't stick to my guns and Mowg was getting half a day in time out. Fingers crossed on this one. Seems like if I block one area off from him (like the bedroom) he just finds somewhere else to go (like the rug in front of the door).

QSA: At this rate, I'm thinking it might come down to a cork! ^_~ Just plug that little fuzzball up and problem solved! Oh, how I wish it was that easy!

Oh well, sounds like jail is your best bet. I think Jen has had to do the same with a couple of her guys to retrain them on the litterbox. Hopefully Mowg-monster will figure that out. Wonder why he is having problems? Do you think it is because of his 'on his own" start or something else?

That's my best guess. I suppose once you're used to going where ever you feel like, it's difficult to get used to going in a certain spot.

Well, I had my crow bar in my hand and was on my way out of the door to come rescue him..... Then I took a minute to think about it... Is there a small room with NO carpet or anything, no rugs, towels or stuff where you could put him with a litter box... Somehow, it just has not clicked in his mind to associate the litter with his business... Maybe?

Oh! That's a great idea! And it would definitely give Mowgli more room to stretch! That's the thing I really don't like about the cage. I'll just take the rug out of the spare bathroom and set Mowgli up in there! Thanks, Laura!

Awwwww poor little Mowgli! Hopefully the bathroom with no rug will do the trick.

Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I've posted bail and I'm coming over to spring you out of that joint!!!
