View Full Version : Stenograsaurus VS. Cataholic...he he he

No, we are NOT competing in some pregnancy olympics (at least I am not, as I can hardly rise from a seated position under five minutes)...but, who will deliver first? Now, keep in mind, this is my first child, which usually means I will go longer than 3 weeks, and this is Beth's 3 child, which means she 'should' go on time or early.

Vote early and often! The winner gets a whole week's supply of babysitting our kids! (the skin ones, that is) HE HE HE...

I don't know.......honestly. God knows which baby will come out first. ;) He he! Do you have the same delivery date?

I will vote for stenograsurus, because the odds look better being her third child, and besides I am pretty safe if I win for babysitting the offspring, being on the other side of the world, so what have I got to loose huh? lol good luck to you both for the big event.

Johanna have you chosen your babies name yet?

Hmm.. Not sure. wouldn't it be neat if they "came out" at the same time? :)

We need to know the expected delivery date! If it's around the same time, I'd guess Stenograsaurus, because she had two before! Wow, it could be on my birthday!!

Best wishes to you both! :)

We have the same due date...or, we did, up until two weeks ago. I think she is beating me by a few days. BUT, I have gest. diabetes, which means the doc will watch me like a hawk...he he he, and hopefully, induce me EARLY! So, it is anyone's guess.

My baby's name is Jonah Parker.

I love your choice of name for baby Johanna, now Johanna you did not tell us about the gest, diabetes, that kinda changes things, can I change my vote lol. just kiddin, hope all goes well for the both of you, two new PT babies YAHOO!!!! pics and more pics please, when bubs arrives.

I am using my gd to 'win' over Beth! That is the only way I would go first...

I don't know about a whole week, but you might talk me into a weekend sometime..see if I can really handle a baby for that long before I think about one of my own :D

I like the name. Good choice :)

All I can say is neither go early I can't sew that fast. I'm still getting squares in so I have to wait to start.

REMINDER: squares must be here in Montana by the 1st of Sept. so I can get the quilts done hopefully BEFORE these two pop.
Johanna and Beth I think to help us make the proper choice we need PICTURES of tummies (yours) . Any one else agree?

Johanna and Jonah. Isn't that SO cute? I think Jonah's an adorable name for a little boy.

Steno is having a baby girl, isn't she? My mom says boys are always in a hurry, and girls take their time. :p I know that probably isn't true, but that is what she has seen over the years....even with her own kids. My brother was 3 weeks early, and I was two weeks late!!!

I can't really take a guess. You might just beat Steno.......but maybe she'll beat you! We shall see. It would be cool if they arrive at the same time.

Beth, have you chosen a name yet?

Ps. Johanna, I would be more than happy to babysit Jonah for you.......as long as I get Tenny with him. :p:D

Beth is still deciding on a middle name, the poll is to decide on
Hannah Grace
Hannah Rose or
Hannah Marie

Popcornbird, my mothers babies were allllll early - boys and girls. Some of us are just in a hurry, that's all.

I think Baby Stenograsaurus will pop out a day before Cat Baby!

I'll pass on the babysitting if I'm right - unless you'd like remote management babysitting! :D ;)

I'm guessing Cataholic...it's a competitive thing....:D ;) :D

And I will donate my week of babysitting to a worthy cause if I win!

(Now really...would you want ME to babysit your child?)

I saw that thread, and replied. I think Hannah Grace is beautiful.

All these PT babies are bringing such excitement to PT. :D Let's see........we need to know Beth's history then. Were her previous children early or late? Johanna has never had a child before, so its harder to predict her baby. :p

Either way, I figured this is all fun and decided to vote for Johanna afterall. :D I'm not sure about my vote, so I just made a random guess. I'm hoping little Jonah arrives early. I'm anxious to see pics of him! But I am anxious to see Hannah's pics too!! Maybe they'll both arrive on the same day. ;)

My vote is for Johanna, she's going to convince her baby to come out a few days early just so she can win.

It's hard to say! Johana is competitive, but Beth has experience on her side. Hmmm.... Sorry Joh! I voted for Beth. :D

Oh, I'm winning by one vote!!! I better vote for myself and make it two. ;)

To answer some questions, Sabrina was my first and she was born on her due date.

Brooke was born two days early.

As for Hannah, as of Thursday around lunch time I was 2 cm. dilated, 50% effaced and the baby was in the -2 position in the birth canal. When I work up this morning I had noticed that the baby had dropped even more over night. My due date is still the 9th. They never changed it. But my blood pressure was about 40 points higher than normal so they put me on blood pressure medicine. They only gave me enough to get me to my 38th week, which is on the 26th. Maybe we'll both have our babies on the 30th. It is a full moon that day!!!!

I had to go with Beth. Just guessing though ;)

This is exciting and I hope we do get to see a few pics of the two. How wonderful for both of you.

I also love both the names you picked out.

Wishing you both the best and can't wait for the big day.

Hugs for you both....Robin :)

I had to vote for Beth too since both of her previous babies were early or on time. It sounds like she may have hers before Sept.:) I also love their names.:D

Johanna, I voted for you, just because I have only had one baby and she just wouldn't come and I know how frustrating that is!!! Helen was 2 1/2 weeks past her due date when they finally induced my labor. No offense, Beth, but you're an old pro at this! Sounds like both of you girls might go early, and I was so in hopes of one of you having one on my birthday (9/18), but I know you both hope that DOESN'T happen!!!! :o

Well, thanks alot, "FRIENDS".... he he he...I won't have another internal til Tuesday. I did have a scan today and there wasn't any cause for concern, which would = early baby! The only thing Jonah seemed content on doing was hiccuping during the stress test. Thanks, Kid!

So, although I haven't voted, I am thinking Beth will go first. Dern it anyhow!

I will update on Tuesday, that might be more telling. But, Beth is progressing more than me. I was only 1 cm dilated two weeks ago. Boo Hoo Hoo.....

I had to vote for Stenograsaurus since she already had two early birds.
I know from experience that the 3rd baby comes a lot quicker than the first.:p
I would be willing to babysit and/or petsit for either one of you anytime as long as you bring the baby/pets to my house in Vermont.:)

I don't know--sounds like a tough call.
Beth may have something with her full moon idea...hmmmm..

I have 2 girls at work about ready to go as well--one isn't due until September 25th, but I don't think she's going to make it that far!!!

So exciting!! I can't wait to see pictures of the babies!!!!

Beth--
I could babysit anytime--I'm not too far away:D

Well, I'm still here and still pregnant!!!! Being the competitive person that I am, I had went out to eat Friday night and ate spicy foods, walked for two hours, drove my Expedition across the bumpiest road I know of, plus a few other things that is supposed to "speed things along" and nothing worked.

Funny story though. After my hot bath Saturday morning I was sitting at the table with my robe on taking all my pills. I stood up to go upstairs and heard a bunch of water hitting the floor. I thought, I didn't feel anything. I looked down between my legs and the floor was dry. Then I noticed both my dogs in the middle of the kitchen so I went over there. Here Dakota had just finished drinking water, apparently too fast, and threw water up on the floor. I was chuckling pretty good while cleaning that up.

Don't count on later babies coming earlier! I was my mother's fourth (probably still am... ) and I was so late one of the first things they had to do was cut my fingernails....I kept getting them caught in my bushy head of hair!

And Lilycat...I asked the E's how they feel about babysitting....They want to know if it requires them to be awake?????

Lillycat
08-23-2004, 07:10 PM
cataholic goes to the dr. tomorrow ........so maybe NEW SECRET INFORMATION will be available at a later time....sara, as to the E's "sitting awake or asleep".......as a grandmother, i think either is okay!!!!......smile......

I did vote for Beth, knowing that repeat-performers are more predictable! And I would be delighted to win a week of babysitting, though baby might hafta come up here because Miss Hoppy would protest going anyplace or having me away for that long.

I voted for Johanna, just a guess, I supose. Beth has had early birds in the past, this one could be different :p

This is so exciting he he he

*EDIT* I also forgot to add, I love both of the names you two picked out, and Johanna & Jonah sounds so cute together ;) :D

I am as much of a specialist as Sara I guess and regarding the fact that my cats cannot come over to babysit I better hope for the best.

I hope anyway that one of the babies will be born at my wedding anniversary (he/she will have the 9th or the 13th as a choice;) )

Lillycat

barbara, your cats are very welcome to babysit also, "whenever they are in the area"........perhaps in the future, jonah could visit over by you.....

I was just looking at Johanna's profile, and decided that I hope Johanna's baby boy is born on the 4th of September. Why? Because that's Johanna's 2 year anniversary on PT, so the baby would make the perfect present for her. :D And.......the 4th of September is ALSO Popcorn and Muffin's 5th *Gotcha Day*, so I think its a very special day for little Jonah to arrive. ;) I never realized Johanna's PT anniversary and the day my tiels came into my life was the same date. How nice. :D
