Last night on the way home from work, my girlfriend drove a different way. We ended up going down a dead end street. We got to the end of the road and saw an all black cat sprawled out on the sidewalk, stretching out. We both said at the same time "ooooooooooooooooooooooooh, so cute." It looked just like our cat, Zezu. We said, "Wouldn't it be funny if that were Zezu's mamma?"(Zezu's mom lives in the same town.) Most likely it wasn't. But we both agreed, wrong turns aren't all bad, that made our night.

If it wasn't her momma, it's probably a sibling, a cousin, or some sorta relative! That's the kind of encounter that always leaves me smiling!

Isn't life funny? We went to dinner last night at a really nice restaurant and came upon a GORGEOUS kitten when leaving. She looked to be about 6 months old and had the most beautiful coat I have ever seen. She was practically all cream, gray and white. And so friendly! Her coat was like pure silk -- so incredibly soft. We asked the restaurant manager and it turns out that she belongs to no one -- just a neighborhood cat that everyone feeds.

Well, the restaurant is only one block over from a terribly busy highway and I worried about her all night. So today I found someone at work who wants her -- my husband is on his way (as I write this) back to the restaurant to try to find her! I'm so excited for her -- what a great inside cat she'll be! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif
