Just wanted to share with everyone that thanks to Jan (Queen) I have decided that the very special blind kittens, Gracie and her un-named brother will become part of the Catlover family. As long as their test all come back negative...I will "take delivery" in November. So it looks like there will be a field trip coming. I can not wait. :D :D :D :D :D

Please see Jan's post here.....to see pictures of the babies.

I would like to say a big Thank You to Lisa (CCL). I PM'd her yesterday with some questions about Magoo and she was wonderful enough to respond back to me. Lisa, without you I don't think I could have convinced Mark. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

P.S. I need a name for my baby boy!!! Please help. I was going to name him Julian because I really love that name but my new next door neighbor has a Julian and I don't want him to get confused.

Meg you are so welcome but I really didn't do anything! Magoo did all the work from my end and I just watched and learned. I'm so overwhelmed with emotion right now that I'm having trouble working. Your new babies are beyond adorable and I'm so happy for you that I could shout it from the roof tops!
I know you had a hard time convincing hubby but I bet in a very short amount of time he will not only be amazed but madly in love!

Congratulations Meg, cause you sure got two adorable babies!!

A special thanks also to their caregiver Jan for all she has done. What a wonderful lady.:) :) http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/smile.gif

Oh my goodness, that is sooo wonderful Meg!!!

I think Magoo has done more than could ever have been hoped for! He not only has taught us all so much about special needs kitties, but he has inspired others to adopt special needs kitties too, giving hope to many more out there that had such little hope before.

I'm SO happy for you Meg, and I can't wait for you to "take delivery" so we can start hearing all the great stories. Stories not only of how they overcome their handicap, but stories of having kittens in the house again. ;) :D

Hmm.....wonder how resident queenie Tucker is going to take to two rambunctious kittens.....;) :D

I posted this in QSA's thread with the pictures, but how about Gabriel as a name for the little boy? Grace and Gabriel, the adorable, sweet, beautiful baby angel kitties. ;) :D

oh MEG!!! This is so wonderful!! I am speechless but thrilled. The pictures all made me cry. The babies are precious - the angel wings and stories...Magoo...all of it and here on PT, being able to share in the happiness and care for these babies - it is all rather overwhelming. I am awed and so happy to know all of you and about this story and so many others!!

We need a smiley with projectile tears because I'm bawling so hard I steamed up my glasses!

I am so happy to hear that these babies will have a loving home. I pray that their test results all come back well and their Grandaddy Magoo continues to show them the way.

Name suggestions: Jose (For Jose Feliciano the blind singer)
or Ray Charles

Of course, since the girl's name is Gracie, you could call the boy Georgie (Grace Allen and George Burns).

Thanks sirrahbed. I'm at work and don't dare download smiley's on this computer. But, I'll check them out when I get home tomorrow. I'm going to try and copy one of the ones you put in your note and see if I can add it here without having to download the program.

Okay, back to bawling! http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/traurig/sad-smiley-047.gif Tears of hope and happiness for these babies.

I'm so tickled pink (and baby blue too) that you are adopting these precious little waifs! I'm sure the tests will come back neg/neg, as so far in a little over a week a dozen cats and kittens were taken from the yard. I have mom & the five kids here, and the other six went to other foster homes. The four trapped yesterday were all old enough for testing, and are negative. The babies can't wait to meet you for a field trip! Me too! :D :D :D Goddaddy Can-Do-Magoo...Ya done it again! ;)

What wonderful news, congratulations Meg, and how super of you to take on these two precious and special furbabies, Magoo, you have shown us all , that indeed blind kitties can lead normal and happy lives.

I think T&P'S suggestion for Grace and Gabriel is ideal, fingers and paws crossed from across the ocean for Negative results, it is going to be great to follow these two furbabies and watch them grow up before our eyes on PT.

I'm still so emotional over this whole thing! It is so wonderful.
I gave Magoo a big hug tonight and told him he is an Uncle, Grandaddy, and Goddaddy Can do Magoo, depending on who's posting, and he just layed there like he didn't have a care in the world. Our precious Squatty Magoo has no idea what he has taught so many people. Especially me!

I know we all love him but I feel so fortuante and blessed to be able to pass on all the hugs, kisses and compliments. Of course, I usually get bit but that's ok!!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/biggrin.gif

I can't wait to see how these babies progress!

Lisa, One good thing I can say is these kittens, never knowing the streets (really) will always grow up knowing nothing but love now! Magoo has many tales to tell, but we'll never hear them, sad to say. I always wonder what some of these poor animals have gone through outside. Magoo knows the power of love now, and I'm so glad you've shared your trials and tribulations through the journey! This has been wonderful that Meg and her hubby have stepped forward to experience the joy of special needs kitties! Gee...give me a few more weeks...everyone here can have one or two! Legs missing...eyes missing...I seem to manage to find them! :D :D :D

How many pet talkers can go on delivery day?? How many live close enough to ct. that can meet us there!? It would be nice to meet other pet talkers since those of us on east coast can't make the california bbqs! Well, in the meantime, jan, if carla can't drive, you KNOW I will, You KNOW you can not leave me out of this!
Magoo and Lisa have been an inspiration and yes, jan you too with all your handicap kids (still waiting for handicap family photo!) Anyway- This is terrific and hopefully they will be negative for everything and any eye treatment will not be too costly (removal? ie, I remember Magoo needed eye removal...). Anyway, YAY!

OMG, that's so wonderful!! The best part (besides the fact that they have a loving home with a loving Meowmie) is that we'll be able to see stories and pictures as they grow up.

EEEEEKKKKK, this is so exciting!!!

This is just too good to be true. Such wonderful, happy news.
Meg, you are an Angel. Thank you and bless you for finding it in your heart to adopt these two precious little ones. It fills my heart with such joy knowing that they will be going to such a caring and loving home. The best part is that we will be able to continue to see them grow up.:D

I am so happy for you Jan also. You must be so relieved to know that they will have such a happy home.

GOSH I LOVE PT.:D :D

You guys and gals are the best.

OK we now have an official name for the baby boy....I will be going with the suggestion that Debbie (T&P's mom) gave and he will be called Gabriel.

So Gabriel and Gracie it is!!! These two have been touched by an angel, and God sent them to Jan (another angel) so I find it only fitting for them to have heavenly names.

I already have the picture of the two of them on my desk (Jan I hope you don't mind) and I have been showing them off to everybody who comes into my office. I actually made 2 prints of the picture, one for my desk at work and one to take home to show to Mark. Mark looked at the picture and said "Your right, they look like twins, who is who?....they are sooo tiny" and he was ooohhhing and aaahhhhing all over the picture. :) :) :)

Had to quote so I could get the floodgate smiley. ;)

I'm so glad you picked Gabriel for his name. I agree that there are just too many angels involved to ignore the reference. I, too, am so happy that hubby is falling for them too. I'm sure once they take that road trip and come home with you he'll be a big pile of mush, and I can already see Grace being the biggest daddy's girl ever. ;) :D

This just makes me so happy to be a part of PT. :D

Well, I have missed a lot!! And you guys sure know how to get to my heart!!! MIGHT I suggest a middle name for Gabriel? I think he should have Magoosters name there somewhere in honor of what he has done for ALL of us with what he has overcome.. (Reminds me, I wrote something on the boat and I have to get my laptop hooked up to post that since it fits in real good now with these two dolls!)

Don't these two even LOOK like Magoo? What is the full story on these? How did they loose their sight? They are as ADORABLE as can be and I think being so small, they won't have a lot of adapting to do to get use to not having sight.. To bad they will never see how sweet and beautiful they really are! man!! And we get to see them GROW UP and learn the world! You DO have a camera with video don't you? This is so exciting!!

Names for both babies YAY! I love the name Gabriel as Gabe is one of my sweetest and special boys. (My Gabe was born with no hind legs, and was one that hmmm oddly enough disapperared one night from the neighbors backyard). I'm so delighted that you printed up the pictures so you can 'see' them every day. And a copy for Mark too....good idea so daddy to be can remember who's who without doing the under-the-tail check. Gracie has the huge eyes (but can blink them thankfully) and Gabriel has the wincing (the sun's in my eyes) look. That's how I tell them apart easily. I can't wait for you to meet these little darlings! :D :) ;)
