Someone had posted this URL on a petcity message board, and I thought the page was very cute.

Pam
What a cute site! I thought it was well designed. Thanks for sharing that with us! Did you notice if there was any email to the web page author anywhere in that site? I would like to congratulate the author on a site well done http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

"The cat man" from whom I got the URL wrote in his post on petcity that the cat perch is part of a larger website that is run by one of his friends. I'm not even clear on which cats are his! There is an e-mail address on the site somewhere, I'm just not sure to whom it sends e-mail.
It is a beautiful page. Of course I have a black cat bias too!

I've had two black cats, both of whom went to the rainbow bridge way too soon, and I've fostered two black cats. They really are very special - they even have a sense of humor!

I don't know if my Pest has a sense of humour, but there is something special about black cats. Actually, she probably does have one-- the way she brattily bites our fingers after lovingly licking them for like 5 minutes, and the way she tries to kick mom and dad in the butt when they try to share her throne with her (our fancy computer chair, bought to combat my back problems). I suppose that could constitute a cattish sense of humour. I love her so much. I could just go on and on with stories!
Its too bad that black babies are associated with bad luck. It's quite the curse. I wonder if they know about it.

Pam,
I have never seen why black cats are supposed to bring bad luck. Its just a stupid myth. I have always thought black cats were the coolest anyway. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif (Sweet too)Oh, that website with the black cat Midnight is cute! I think I've seen it before...

My Zezu is a black cat. He's the best. I'd love him as any color though. So rambunctious.

Becareful about leaving your black cat outdoors on halloween. Dummies sometimes steal them.

Those poor little black kitties get such a bad wrap sometimes!!! We all know they are sooooo sweet though:-) My sister has an all black cat named Vega and she is just a doll! Ben brought up a good point. Most shelters refuse to adopt out black kitties during the month of Halloween because of sick people out there. I think they even held white kitties this year at some of the local shelters. If someone comes in and is interested in one of the kitties, they usually wait until November to adopt the kitty out. It's a shame that there are so many sick and cruel people in the world...

We all love out kitties!!! No matter what color they are http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

And here I was thinking that only Italy had this thing about black cats!

Here they are associated with bad luck and witches and therefore usually shelters have difficulties in placing them. Sick monsters are known to "prefer them" for satanic ritual (no printable comment on this one).

For some reason (not on purpose except from the first one in the series) I very often end with black cats.

I wonder if this makes me an (extremely) lucky witch ( http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif, http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif).

I once read that in Ireland black cats are considered GOOD luck - any of our Irish friends want to confirm or deny?

Well, I think it is mostly the whole "don't let a black cat cross your path or it'll bring you bad luck" thing. And their close association with witches and Halloween. I don't know what all countries are superstitious about black cats, but there is a certain amount superstition here. It's silly really, because there is not a sweeter kitty than my Pest.
