OK... first of all, my disclaimer:

I reserve the right to be wrong about the sexes of the following said kittens!!! I've already changed my mind on a few of them several times!

Aww, they are so cute. I'm thinking boy #3 or girl #1 are calling my name!!! Now to get them to call my husbands.

Guess time will tell for sure what they are. Right now we are all 100% sure they are ADORABLE!!!!!!

It's never easy with newborns, but Dot/Dash is girl. The anus and vaginal opening are close together. Dot/Dot means boy, and the opening between is a larger distance. I've messed up on sexing them many times, until those little organs develop more. Long haired kittens are the hard ones!

Boy #2 is the Tucker look-a-like!!!:D If you don't take him, I'm afraid he will be too easy to keep! ;)

Josephine? I'm not sure about her age .... she just came in suddenly and about to bust, so I haven't had her vet checked or anything yet. I don't think she is more than maybe a couple of years though! She is a real sweetheart, if you want her!;)

Dennis wants calico girl #3. I want boy #2. HE already has his princess Emily! Were you planning on keeping the Tucker lookalike Kim? Maybe Emily does need a lady-in-waiting....
This will be a new experience in that I have never had so young a kitten before and it will be my first with CLAWS! I think five will be our limit. So, I have room for one more but it has to be someone VERY special who NEEDS me!!!

Debbie, this is wonderful!!! I'm so happy you are going to take one or maybe two of the kittens. I wished Richard was more like Dennis. I would love to talk him into taking one. I'm trying but he is just laughing me off. I even checked to calendar last night to see how old the kittens would be by my birthday in Oct. and he had a good belly laugh over that. My dream is to adopt Chance and Lucky from Aly but the miles apart would make that so hard to arrange. It's kind of hard to just have them show up here without him knowing the work/cost that would go into it. That would be my only luck to have one just show up because he was so accepting of Matilda. Now, if one of Kim's babies just showed up...

Which is another good argument for two - Debbie (and Dennis 'cause I know you're out there lurking!). :D They will be so young and active that they will need a friend to play with.

Yes, it's for real. Tuxie boy#2 is Browning and the calico girl#3 is Lizzie - Dennis likes the brighter colored one, not the dilute.:D We are looking at the first weekend in October if that will work?? I don't want to get too close to Amy Beth's due date. Can they leave mama at 7 1/2 weeks??

Josie NEEDS a friend, there is no dounbt about that - and you are already in Kentucky! Maybe we can have a mini PT gathering? We already had this little PT fall Kentucky/Tennessee trip planned anyway:D I wanted to see the mountains in the fall and meet some of the PT folks I have been writing to. So, what better way to wind up a PT trip than with some kittens? They will have to make a pretty long car trip but that will work out OK and we will keep them comfy. First stop home will be the vet's if I can plan things right. This feels REAL GOOD:D

We would be coming on a Friday (10/1)afternoon and staying the night in Louisville - would see you, Lisa on Saturday (10/2)morning. We have a friend in Louisville who we hope to meet up with Friday. Then on to see Lori on Saturday and Saturday night at Kim's town, back home on Sunday(10/3). Quick trip I know but hate leaving my babies!! We may drag it out one more day and come home Monday if we stay Saturday night at Lori's town and go to Kim's on Sunday, spend a night there or partway home at a place that allows pets.

It's nice to have dates so I can make sure nothing interferes with this meeting! I'm so excited!! Yippee!! Lizzie is in Louisville too.
We will have to talk as time gets closer so I can make some plans for breakfast/lunch.
I hope you realize that you will definitely get to meet Leroy, Sammy and Magoo but chances are you won't even be able to see any of the others. I hope you won't be disappointed by that but they hide whenever someone is here that they don't know. I will try my best to keep them from bolting upstairs but I can't promise anything. We should be able to get a peek or two of Pete and hopefully Peanut Butter creeping around.

I know Lisa - you have told me that and it is fine. People come here and the only one they see is Dylan. Even family would swear there is no Eliot;) The Princess makes rare appearances. Don't worry about that! I want to meet YOU:) I will love giving nawtee Leroy some scritches, and some pats for Sammy and Magoo.:) Do you think Daddy's boy Sammy will allow that?

catcrazylady
08-13-2004, 09:06 PM
Sammy will adore Dennis and love all over him probably. He will tolerate a few pets from you and then he will give you that meow that says "Don't touch me anymore WOMAN!!" He's such a chauvinist pig!!!http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/rolleyes.gif
Leroy LOVES everybody!!

This is so very exciting! Only problem is I want to meet everybody too .... I was hoping to somehow meet Lisa and Lori too .... and also Willie lives in Mid TN too!!! Oh Yes, and Lacy ... gosh, I keep thinking of more and more here .... and of course MULTICATMOM lives just a hop and skip from my house! :D
Oh well, maybe some other time we can plan a BIG meeting in a central location for us all! ;)

Yeah!! This will be fun. Lacey lives a less than two hours away from me or Kim so she maybe she could come too!!!

Debbie - I hope you can work out an overnighter here so we could maybe take you up for a quick drive into Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. I'm already marking my calendar! If you aren't going to leave Lisa's until Saturday morning you will be hard pressed for any time here and still make Kim's by night. Just a thought.

Well maybe I was getting too excited but I want time with everyone! I already KNOW I like you silly. But stuffing you in the car is probably going overboard. Do you think Lizzielou could come to your house that Saturday morning? Is Josie's Meowmie anywhere near to you?? Anyone else for that Saturday morning - probably pretty early since we will want to head for eastern TN after our visit. As time gets closer, we may even get to visit you that Friday evening - it depends on if/when I can see my friend from Louisville - have not contacted her yet and she is a student there at the University plus works some nights. Maybe we can even leave earlier that day - if so- could you maybe take a half day off work?? Possible??

catcrazylady
08-13-2004, 10:22 PM
the timeing at work will not be the best but for you, my dear, I will take the WHOLE day off!!! As time gets closer we will work out whatever we need too.
We will have to plan (maybe next year) a central meeting. That would be so much fun!! Anybody and everybody who could make it could come. Maybe we could make it in Gatlinburg and everyone could have a mini vacation. Just a weekend and we could all sit around on the cabin porches and talk about kitties!!!

I have been racking my brain. I even mapquested Upper Sandusky to Fairborn..(approximately 2 1/2 hours) I would Love LOVE love Girl #2. I do want to get another kitty very badly. ( I think it would be GREAT for Kylie ~ exercise!) But I have a very tiny house and no room for an extra litter box or a place to separate the kitten food from the other food. I think it might be better to introduce a kitten when the girls are younger (Kylie is 4 and Keegan will be 3) but I with the size of my house, I just don't see how I would be a good home without being able to offer it another litter box, place to eat. Also I don't have an extra room to separate them at first. :( :( :( :(

Couldn't you keep baby and box / food in a small bathroom or your bedroom just until she could be introduced to the others?
You really don't have to get another litterbox .... they can and will share if you start them off that way. You could also, just take baby into a separate room just during her feeding (or even put her in a crate)... to be sure she gets enough calories. It won't hurt her to eat big kitty food too, as long as she does get the extra calories along with it!;)

That would be so neat if you got a kitten too! I just wanted to let you know that I have TEN and only three large litter boxes. I don't have any place else for another one either. It just means you scoop a little more!:p http://petoftheday.com/talk/images/our_smilies/biggrin.gif

oiiii again!

That is the alblum to my house. That's it, there are no more rooms!! ;) :)
But I do have a extra large dog crate that Keegan used that I could put her in. Never thought of that, that kind of makes a room in itself. I just don't know. I thought I would just wait until I added on to my house in 2 years, and after I get some bills paid off.

Possible??

Sorry I am just catching up on this thread. Yes, I'm very interested, I can meet you all anywhere. Should I bring Tito and Sophie so you can meet them? ;) Is that a bad idea, CCL? Anyway I have nothing to do that weekend so just count me in! Someone PM me if you need more help planning or anything! :D :D :D

YAY I'm so excited!!

Yes, I told him that you guys agree that a kitten would be a great birthday present. I'm still getting that laugh.

Oh well we have several weeks to work on him. On top of that I know he is a softy. Just tonight we went to Sonic for ice cream and we saw a kind of skinny solid gray cat walking around. He knew I was concerned about him so he drove around the drive in a few times, slowly, helping me look for him. There are a lot of homes and apartments just behind Sonic so I'd say he was from there but he looked a little thin to me. Anyway, Richard even asked if I wanted to get out to check on my buddy. I asked what would he do if the cat was scrawny and came to me and he said I guess let you take him home. That is the second time he has done that with a cat wandering around in a parking lot. He helped me try to catch the last one behind a Lowes several months ago.

I just need Aly to bring Chance and Lucky to my garage and one of your kittens to just show up here too and I'm set! Oh to dream...

I've been following this thread and I thinks it's great that at least 2 of the kittens will be adopted by another Pet Talker.:) It sure would be even more wonderful if all 7 could be adopted by Pet Talkers. Too bad I'm at my limit because the dilute calico sure is a cutie pie. I've never had a calico cat before.:)

Well Lori? Did the Queen of whining make it possible?? Did she touch the heartstrings of hubby? How could he possibly NOT melt at the sight of those babies!!?? Will it help if I whine too?
